Current Form in the National League.

I am not quite so sure we are not over simplifying . Where have Fylde and Fleetwood come from if that is the case ? The Northern National League looks stronger than the Southern League. Personally I suspect football is centring more and more on the major cities and a c thirty mile radius around them...

Torquay United v Dagenham and Redbridge - Matchday thread - 17/02/18

I will obviously defer to those who witnessed the event but we now seem to lack the option of player with pace to come on and give the width option. If you going to have to go 4:2:4 or 4:3:3 you surely need a wide man option fresh somewhere from the bench ( preferably two ) . Reid is probably that o...

Current Form in the National League.

Interesting information Merse. Excellent. I think the point you are presenting about there almost being the two types of part time that have emerged is also a very interesting. The situation has clearly changed since 1979. . It is a situation that if you think about, is obviously constantly evolving...

There is always a risk taking on a club like Guiseley. Despite all their ambitious they clearly have been punching above their weight. Crowd size still equals playing budget in some locations.

At least it reminds us of players no longer at the club.

Some of you post as if you have never been to a game. Teams seldom roll over at home and away wins are infrequent unless teams are in a promotion slot and really high on the ensuing confidence. Pushing forward away from home is a risky business. The team are playing better and the squad is clearly s...

Maybe it's possible if we avoid injuries but effectively we have to win one game in every two to be in with a shout. It's a fair ask .. but it's conceivable.

That's a bit like saying poverty is entirely permissible most of the time because it's good to have nice fat bankers for economic reasons . !

Yes let's have realism but save us all defeatism .

It's not a bad result. Still a fair number of games to go and apart from Solihull no one did better. No it's not an obvious season changer but maybe it's a bit of a stabiliser. I don't blame them defending the point.

I don't think for a minute Williams will change. He will I believe play on his own terms and most managers I guess would have real problems with that. However since Williams left under different managers we have played virtually without an attack. Small young players simply haven't cut it and we sim...
