Why are we Bottom of the National League?

Can someone please provide an answer to this question: Why does GJ leave the signing of players for the forthcoming season so late? This has happened in the last two seasons and means he has to choose from what is left after other clubs have had their pick If this is to avoid a month's wages then it...

Torquay United v Woking - Friday 2nd April @ 3:00pm

First time I have seen Torquay this year and I must say my optimism has taken a bash. This was poor stuff and nothing like the pre-Christmas offerings. What on earth has happened? Long balls from the defence, passes going astray, no-one seems to want to shoot. A complete opposite to the first three ...

Boreham Wood v Torquay United - Saturday 13th March - KO 17:20

It is difficult not to agree with SG. However there is one thing that is missing badly and that is confidence particularly in the forward line. An illustration of this is that previous to the New Year we were putting our penalties away without problems. Since then the same player has missed the two ...

Torquay United v Altrincham 2/2/21

I do agree that GJ is probably the best manager in this league. However it would appear there is one weakness in his credentials. That is the honesty to admit he has got it wrong. Even Premier League managers have admitted this on occasions. I still believe, however, that GJ will get us promoted.

National League - Torquay United v Dover Athletic - 17 October 2020 - 3.00pm kick-off

I agree with SG. At my age and distance from Torquay it is great to be able to see my team again. I am not too concerned about the commentary so long as I can see the action. Thoughts on the game: United have one weakness - a goal scorer. Should have been 6 instead of 2 goals. Thought both goalkeepe...

National League | Torquay United v Stockport County | 03/10/20 3pm KO

Very little mention of the referee. I thought he was excellent, let the game flow and was not card happy. He and the linesmen should be congratulated on their performance.

BT broadcasts

I have Sky Sports but not BT Sport. Is there any way I can get BT Sport for this game without having to commit to a long contract?

Why this lengthy thread on Woking?. It must cause the Woking fans and all and sundry to think we are worried. I doubt that the Woking site has a similar thread on Torquay. Lets just get on with the job of winning matches and not concern ourselves with other teams until we play them.

Portugull I was at that match. Cannot remember too much about it as we were being thrashed. Remember little Ronnie Shaw of course with Sammy Collins, Don Mills and Dennis Lewis whom I presume were in the line-up. I was in the old cow shed. Happy memories.
