Re: Call to arms (A rallying call)
To be honest i only read half of the OP as it seems unecessarily long for a simple point. But i completely agree. When i go to matches i stand on the pop towards the family end, and the average supporter there is in their 50's i would guess. Beside the recurring smell of digested dinner pouring out ...

Re: The 5 year plan . . .
Hmm some good points indeed glostergull. Can someone tell me as i am a bit naive in this department, but why would going up to league 1 have to cost us more money? Sure it would be great to pour more money into the team to give us a better chance of staying up - but we don't HAVE to do that? Surely ...

Re: Win our next FOUR games ....
Am I missing something? How can we go ahead of Swindon regardless of their results? We're 4 points behind, they have a game in hand and an insurmountable goal difference so effectively potentially and probably 8 points behind, so if we beat them that is still a 5 point deficit, not lead?? I must be ...

Winning 2-0 away from home... is this the part where Ling makes us play cautiously and then we end up conceding a goal?
We can't surely win by more than 1 goal

Re: Torquay United vs Bristol Rovers Game (10/3/12 15:00)
Have to agree with the dismal performance of the team for the first 70 min, it wasn't until Atieno was brought on that we penned them back in their own half. I beleive Mr Ling needs to re think his 1 up front tactics as the hit it up front and head tennis that ensued never paid off as Howe just see...

Re: Torquay United vs Bristol Rovers Game (10/3/12 15:00)
Not sure why everyone thought it was a poor performance, i thought we did really well first half and the first goal was against the run of play, the only period i thought we truly were bad was 45-70 ish, as soon as we got 1 goal i felt pretty confident in our ability. They did boss the game for that...

Re: Ling out! Sack the Board! Sell the lot of them!
To be fair, i run my own business too, 6 years now, and i only work 5 hours a week, it's not hard, and i dont read a paper - if i did it would be the sun. Also, i tend to sympathise with DTG's point here. While i see where the OP is coming from (we do have a history of grumpy people round here) sinc...

Re: new club shop website announced
I'm a little bit confused - i am assuming this isn't run by TUFC, so who is selling presumably the same stuff as TUFC and why??? Am i the only one that thinks the website looks rank amateur? Blue and yellow is never going to be easy to make look nice, but at least this forum is doing a reasonable jo...

Re: three days left... (or two if they dont count sunday!!)
Maybe it's just me, but a defender scoring a few goals wouldn't exactly get me excited if i was a manager. I'd want a defender that has a good record for defending. Scoring goals could be at the expense of conceding them, from a defenders point of view... I don't think Ellis will be getting bids bas...

Re: How long can we keep riding our luck for?!...
Every team towards the top is riding their luck. There is a tremendous amount of luck in most games of football, skill is only half the battle. Some teams will "get lucky" more than others and end up the other half of the table despite being equally good. IF 2 teams played each other 100 t...

Re: Home and Away form
Surely this makes perfect sense as we are more attacking at home which leaves us more vulnerable as a byproduct. While our away strategy is more defensive so less goals all round?
Seems to be working in our favour anyway

Re: football betting tips
Care to expand, shredder? You don't lose anything, but you can win? Sorry i forgot about this thread - yes here is the rundown: You can play for free, and if you turn your 100k of play money into 1 million, you win £2... ok, nothing to write home about, but free money all the same. However, if you ...

Re: football betting tips
Is anyone using BetDash? I tried it after seeing an ad on here and it's great fun. Being able to bet on every game and stand to win money without worrying about losing is great, and you can add your friends, laugh at their bets etc.
If anyone is using it, feel free to add me (same username)

Re: Torquay United v Barnet
I am probably mistaken but didn't we get a last minute goal maybe the 5th injury time minute when we won 5-4 against someone (kidderminster?) in the BSP?northharrowgull wrote:Ok so when was the last time we won a match in the 4th minute of extra time. Answers on a postcard please !!!!
