Re: Membership Scheme
With the reduced capacity, more high profile games and the club's previous incompetance with ticketing issues I think quite a few exiles would be interested this time around. The club made it clear last year that it did not give a toss about exiles and the membership scheme would be the best way to ...

Re: What price Zebroski?
A major loss - he probably is irreplacable. In Torquay's terms, yes a major loss - But he really is far from irreplacable. If we are getting anywhere near the the £150,000 that we are rumoured to have rejected then it will be a great bit of business. I thought we'd crumble at £50,000....

Re: Successful Season?
I fear we will struggle - if we can stay out of real danger then I will settle for that. No reflection of my opinion of Martiin Ling - I just think League Two will be pretty strong next year with the likes of Crawley, Swindon, Rovers, Shrewsbury, Rotherham, Port Vale making the running - I also thin...

Re: Oastler Signs.
Maybe the club want people to know things are happening behind the scenes, but verbal agreements mean nothing in football. Jo Kuffour, Andy Marriott and Bayo all verbally agreed to stay with us. Didn't Colin Lee verbally agree to Manage us before his ego got involved? We could probably get a full te...

Re: not bloody goal music again!!
Music after we score is tacky and lacks class. It was encouraged by our last manager funnilly enough. Lets move on and leave it in the past.

Re: Torquay Summer Transfers Thread INs and OUTs
I'm not sure Branno had 2 easier games all season than the two we played against Shrewsbury where Harrold trundled around disinterested and completely ineffectively as Branno completely dominated him. I am absolutely stunned Bristol Rovers have spent money on that guy, has he scored 10 League goals...

Re: According to one of the board...
I can imagine the board would accept £50,000 or less for Zebroski, although you suspect that if it was someone like Barry Fry selling Zebroski Bristol would have to pay £250,000. You just do not get the feeling that our board are good negotiators or know the value of a player. With re...

Re: According to one of the board...
I may be way off the mark here, and if I am, quite rightly tell me so. But I honestly dont see anybody paying 150k for Zebroski, that may obviously be to your adavantage, but I dont see how that fee can be justified. Rovers signed Rickie Lambert for 200k and he was a proven 20+ goals a season man a...

Re: According to one of the board...
Agree with pretty much all of that. Enzo. Not sure that Kee could be blamed too much in terms of his form, he was hopelessly lost out wide, he does need to work on his fitness though. We have League Two players with just a few that could play at a higher level so none are irreplaceable, my fear is ...

Re: According to one of the board...
Bucks will know exactly what type of figure we would find difficult to turn down, but we should call his bluff if he is sniffing around Zebs, Kee or O'Kane. Any of our players actually. Dig our heels in - the Rovers board will be tempted to continue to back their new Manager and Bucks will be keen t...

Re: The Shortlist
Watched Ron Atkinson's manager programme mathingy on Sky Sports ages ago, he was Peterborough boss & on the whole just came across as an arrogant pillock. Saying that, I was willing to give him a second chance but again he came across the same way when interviewed after the Notts County v Torqu...

Enzo, that reply is hilarious.Love a bit of friendly banter and glad you enjoyed your lunch. Might try to have chicken tomorrow myself with some Branston on it!! Hmmm. Contrary to many others I can take or leave Branston. When it is good, it is very good and can bring the very best out of the rest o...

Re: Craig Stanley
I warned you all this would happen. Some people prefer to call it being negative, some even laugh it off as me being roped in (Jon). When all the moves are done and dusted, new "manager" installed, wait and see what your aspirations are for next season. Why use "manager" as oppo...

Re: First Signing
Just to let you know that we have made our first signing which is Matt Gill from Norwich on a three year deal. I would therefore think that if Bevan had been signing for us we would have been told today. Of course it may still happen but my feeling is that its just a rumour. It is interesting that ...

Re: How will you welcome Bucks back next season
Trying to mould a whole squad together in a month or so is not easy. When you also consider it was his first season as a manager it must have been a fairly daunting task. Also for the first time in the clubs' history there was genuine expectation to do well and win something. We came very close on ...
