Re: worst player this season?

Not necessarily the worst but perhaps the most disappointing:- 1. Billy Bodin - last season he was great at cutting inside and letting rip with a hammer shot.....this season, nothing. 2. Joe Oastler - delivers a decent ball but very poor positional sense defensively and I actually think he would be ...

Re: Out of contract players.

(even Nico has been well short of his best at times this season - but I'll forgive him for that!) Why? I don't think Nico or Mansell have delivered at all this season but there seems to be a silence when this happens because..........well, because it's Manse and Nico.....Nico and Manse...... We pla...

Re: New home shirt

I've voted for A. G is like living in the past and we should move on. Somebody has already commented that we had a playoff win in a shirt like G and then every other season we were dire. I quite like the yellow shirt/yellow shorts format we've adopted in recent years but would rather move away from ...

Re: What a dilemma

I believe we should leave things as they are.

Mansell is having a poor to average season and isn't the player he was a couple of years ago. The rest might actually rejuvenate him and then when he comes back, he can boost the team over the busy Christmas period.

Re: Torquay United v Southend United - 17/11/12

Red card for Mansell. Am I the only one thinking this could be a blessing in disguise for the coming weeks? Great bloke, fantastic servant to club, but terrible form in 2012/13. Bang on in my opinion. Both Mansell and NIco have taken their eye off the ball this season and perhaps they should focus ...

Re: Torquay United v Harrogate Town - FA Cup Rnd 1 - 3/11/12

The problem today could be seen very early in the game....I think the players really thought they just had to turn up to win. Harrogate came and did a number on us and good luck to them. Leadbitter, Saah, Downes and Howe were the only players who made any effort. It's becoming very depressing watchi...

Re: Do We Need An Experienced Head ??

The Edgar Davids signing will end in tears. He was part of the dutch team that always fell out with each other at major tournaments and there were also rumours he caused ripples in the dressing room at Spurs. I can see a dressing room/training ground bust up coming very soon and then the news that E...

Scott has done a tremendous job and during a very difficult time. Best wishes to Scott and Sarah, who has been a rock by his side.

Re: Rotherham United v Torquay United - 15/9/12

Just got home, very poor performance not helped by a 4.5 hour drive up this morning. Got into the ground at 3pm but wish I hadn't :-( In summary:- Bodin - Non existant for another game NIcholson - poor deliveries from deadball situations and open play Defensively very shaky Howe - Lost on his own up...

Re: cheltenham town v torquay united - 13/5/12

I know we've been playing like donkeys, but what about a chant of "Yellow Army" just ONCE in the second half! The stuffing got knocked out of us when Crewe got that late late equaliser a couple of weeks ago. Last week at Hereford we were very quiet and today sounds similar. I always said ...

Re: cheltenham town v torquay united - 13/5/12

Why does Nico insist on the long ball down the line???? Hasn't worked for weeks.

O'Kane has gone AWOL and Howe shouldn't have started.

I can see Cheltenham getting a third

I agree, the playoffs would be a couple of games too far. It's now or never I fear.

Re: Bristow's Bench / Grandstand Latest Pictures

A word of advice to anyone looking to sit in the new stand when it's done. Choose seats down the end nearest to the family stand. That was the only part that seemed untouched by the rain today at the Southend match.
