Who would you start in goal?

Whoops. My bad. :red: I guess i spent too much time in the sun at Truro last week, especially as he did start last weekend. Hard to judge him really as didnt have much to do but still think Lavercombe should be our number 1 keeper. Few people i've spoken too don't rate Spiess highly. Still, hope if ...

Who would you start in goal?

Lavercombe for me. His performances at the end of the season warrants a start next weekend. Not seen Spiess other than highlights from Newport's youtube but I wouldnt say he would fill me with confidence.

Lavercombe can only get better with first team football week in week out.

Bowman going out on loan

I'm not sure how I feel about this if true. Granted he can score goals but his attitude in games left a lot to be desired. I got the feeling he was quick to play the blame game with other players even when he made mistakes. I think with the right person managing him, he could be a useful asset for u...

Quite a few people I stood with last season had the same feelings as me regarding some of the squad and CH not applauding the fans at the end of a poor result. It really annoyed me as a fan traveling long distances and supporting the team, only to not receive a token of appreciation from some of the...

I was there. Great turnout, more than the board could have imagined. Didn't take any notes but will try my best to put it on here. 1) After the other consortiums bid fell through, there was a very real chance that Torquay United would not have been here today had the current consortium not come in w...

Torquay v Altrincham

Didn't go after the shambles of Aldershot but sounded good, even if Altrincham are not the best team in the league. A win on Tuesday and we could top the bottom half!!

Good on Dan for another good display. Prefer him to Ricey in goal. Promising player there.

Can only judge on the games I've seen, hence why I said games I've seen (20 this season) and that was up there as one of the worst. Both Aldershot games have been poor.

No doubt Braintree was probably worse but at least we scored at home to them.

If he is, be interesting to see the crowd for Saturdays game. Quite a few people (me included) have said they wont spend any more money to watch the same old crap performances this season.

Today was one of the worst performances I've seen from Torquay this season.

Can't do much worse. 4-5-1 from the word go today, we had no chance of scoring. Such negative tactics. Can't wait for the dross to be cleared in the summer and I hope CH is one of them.

Torquay v Dartford

I don't know what to expect from this. Hopefully a win, although I wouldn't put any money on it. I'll go for a bore 1-1 draw, where we just lump it forward at every opportunity. I hope CH tries to get the players to play FOOTball and actually move it about, we are so much better as a result. Also I ...

Thea steps down with immediate effect

For this weekends game, I was thinking something along the lines of on the 8th minute seeing as Thea started funding the club 8 years, that the fans do a thank you chant to Thea & Paul for continuously putting money into TUFC and leaving us debt free.

Would be a nice gesture I think.

Woking v Torquay TUE 24TH

The good, the bad and the ugly. That's how I can sum up tonight's performance. The good: Our first 25 minutes were as good as I've seen us this season. We passed the ball and scored two good goals. Yes granted we got lucky with Woking hitting the post twice but to be honest it was nice to get that b...

Woking v Torquay TUE 24TH

No segregation enforced tonight and Torquay fans will be allowed into the club bar. Quite glad actually as Woking's away end from previous experience is not one of the best. If you offered me a point now, i'd take it. Just hope we can carry on from Saturday and get a run going. Keep the ball on the ...
