Very confused - what is GI's game?

So merse in effect the situation is almost the same. I can't see what positive outcome we can have , if your pro plainmoor that is. Perhaps if we had the made the 3rd round fa cup away to man Utd or sold a player for 250000 upwards I wonder gi would then consider it a bad job and and least walk away...

Memories of plainmoor

Some great stuff on here. Does anyone remember when MOTD has just the 1 game and around 1968 I reckon, it was us! A table topping match at Plainmoor against Bury, and we won 3-0. Stood in a packed Babbacombe End.We were on again a couple of years later v Fulham, winning again. I think our decline c...

Amazing about that bit in front of grandstand. I wonder if it was because close to the dugout? Better view I doubt ?. Sub section within a grandstand, guess like the 3 tier prices at big stadiums. Love to know more about this. Those pictures are brill merse, the cow shed look like exactly what it so...

Memories of plainmoor

Wow that is amazing. The old cowshed I assume went across from either side and the mini stand erected in the middle. But why did the mini stand get built with still the bit of cow shed either side. When did the cow shed get built? How did the mini stand incorapate within that ? Does anyone know who ...

Surperb SNW. Bit before my time but would loved to have gone in the mini stand when it was terracing. Remember after the Crewe game in 1987 the players and Stuart Morgan came back out and celebrated with the fans. Can anyone tell me the last season it was used. I'm guessing around 1993.

If I remember correctly the mini stand was just concrete steps with crush barriers. I believe the benching was added after the loss of seating in the old grandstand after the 1985 fire. Also from about 1980 the mini stand had a fence erected in front of it. This was an absurd decision because the c...

Torquay v Hartlepool 28/10/17

Didn't know you can move games like that. I quite like a game on new years day and like a lot of people I work unsociable hours and it's day off that's a given. Guess could arrange a friendly or something if that's deemed to be for our benefit. Bleeding shame we are not in fa cup that would have bee...

Truro ground share back on?

Only get a quarter of people turn up that we do. Can't see all of them wanting to travel 200 mile round trip. Ok closer for away fans though. Nothing else closer for them. I assume if promoted then stadium has to be a certain standard. Is that same standard for national south as it is for national p...

Torquay v Hartlepool 28/10/17

Agreed we all have our own opinion. For me it's just not a issue. I am talking more tactical time wasting. Keep possision, corner flag stuff. Player feigning injury is a joke and quite simply ref should be adding more time on for that anyway.

I'm sat in a little pub in Cleckheaton West Yorkshire racking my head what can we start with. Hoping this history bit does spark some interest. Start with plainmoor and a...

Torquay v Hartlepool 28/10/17

Lampards goal was a matter of fact and that now on the bigger stages won't happen again , or shouldn't do. But I can not get my head around reviewing challenges and someone feigning injury. These things are debated for and against in the aftermath of a game and still on occasions are left open for d...

Torquay v Hartlepool 28/10/17

Running the clock down for me is no issue, I would hate too see a big clock stop everytime ball was out of play or when deemed the other team was time wasting. For me it's tactical and sometimes it doesn't always pay off anyway for the team winning. It would create a worse atmosphere with the crowd ...

Gary Owers - The Truth!

I remember the Rotolok, Henson/Coastline kit. Sorry to sound so particular but I do remember roughly halfway through the 85/86 season , rotolok appeared on the shirt. The blue rotolok shirt was used in some of the pre season friendly the following year as remember seeing a certain paul Dobson makin...
