Best goals seen at PLAINMOOR
Tomogull - West Ham did not like being at the seaside in January 1990, when in the 77th minute a goal from teenage substitute Paul Hirons proved to be enough for Torquay (L4) to claim a famous scalp in the third round of the FA Cup. Apparently became disillusioned with the game and now spend his tim...

Best goals seen at PLAINMOOR
I know I'm heading back into time (the year England won the World Cup 1966) when John Bond (West Ham) joined us. Renown for his ability as a goal-scoring right-back he did not disappoint. He was referred to as 'Muffin' because of his ability to kick like a mule and did not disappoint scoring 12 crac...

Torquay United v Wrexham - Saturday 4th October 2014 - 3pm
I would slip Cruise to central defence, bring in Ives and play Pearce up alongside Bowman. Madman or Genius ?

MOTM - Dover
You have to earn MOTM and I do not think any player was deserving on today's performance., but I will credit the defence for going 556 minutes without conceding a goal.

Grimsby v Torquay United – Saturday 13th September 2014
Radio Humberside reckon O'achie is the danger man - holding ball really well and allowing forwards and midfield to attack.

Chester v Torquay United – Tuesday 9th September 2014
Fair Play to the Chester fans on their forum - they give a good balanced viewpoint on the match and are quite complimentary about Torquay's performance. One fan's viewpoint said it all " Torquay were what you would call a 'proper conference side'. Big Strong and direct."

Nuneaton sack manager
Good to see Nuneaton's BOD act so quickly to stem the rot early in the season. Just a shame our BOD did not see the light last season and rid us of that Welsh Druid 'Knill' from the outset. Read all about it! http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/football-news/nuneaton-town-boro-part-compa...

Torquay United v Aldershot Town – Monday 25th August 2014
Tad dissapointed with the start to the season but it is to early to predict an outcome to the season. Take Luton who started their 2013–14 Conference campaign slowly, scoring only two goals from open play in their first eight games to leave the club in the lower reaches of mid-table. However, perf...

Changes for Aldershot
The Dartford forum ask how Richards was allowed to dominant the midfield and is given a 7 whereas Tonge's woeful display gets an 8. Aside from Rice I don't think I would have allocated anymore than 6 to any of the players and a few like Tonge would have got a 3/4 at best.

Portugull - I agree that the back four have been solid. They were against Dartford, however, the congestion of central areas has not transformed our full backs into possession magnets and conductors of the play. Neither Tonge or Cruise have shown a physically imposing presence and are not hyper-mobil...
