Ex-Gull watch

Niall Thompson started at Hucknall Town this season, and half a season and scoring many goals he moved to Sheffield FC in the NPL South. After a few of weeks there, he has now moved onto Mickleover Sports in the NPL and also a relegation rival to Whitby Town, and he scored yesterday.

Cheltenham Town v Torquay United

We played our best team today and stifled Cheltenham pretty much. Richards could be a big miss on Friday.
As an aside, how come Hancox is on the bench in front of Sam Chaney?

I don't know anything about Sean Finch but its possible he has a full-time job and would need to negotiate with his current employers before he could formally join us. Just a thought.

No Hurst so geting what we deserved.
The Board should be treating the team to a session in Yates's after this.

James Hurst suspended by club

James is our most effective player, and top scorer. We need him on the pitch doing what he does best. He's young and like many young men likes going out and having fun. We shouldn't be so precious about the club - nobody in their right mind looks to National league players as role models, many peopl...

Next Manager

I'm sure we could all draw up a list of guys who are current or recent football club managers who have shown the capability of turning around a losing team at conference and higher levels. And we need that experience now. But if I put myself in their shoes I would need to be paid to do it, and to mo...

Next Manager

There are plenty of experienced football managers out there, not currently in a managers job - from half-forgotten premiership managers to Conference North and South Managers wanting their next move. Add in managers from Scotland Wales and maybe Europe and it would appear that we'll be spoilt for ch...

Torquay v Macclesfield Town-season opener.

I cant complain about this result. Several of the starting XI hadnt played a game with the other players, so the performance is bound to be about getting to know each other. The players will be severely examined this month and if any injuries or suspensions befall the defence that played today then ...

Hargreaves

I believed in Hargreaves - character, role model, plus coaching skills. He signed some good players, but it didn't prove enough. I couldn't see that he had developed any of the players; his selections were occasionally counter-productive, and he was tactically limited. I hope he can get another coac...

Current 11

Perhaps Im in a bad place but it feels a lot like Knills summer of recruitment where he was cobbling a squad together that as all very last minute - and where did that lead. I'll give you that Cox has more credibility.
