Incidentally Dover's keeper is a full time teacher in London....I heard an interview with him during their cup run saying he was happy to play football part time and build a career at the same time....sensible chap IMO

I, and I guess others, would argue all of our players are part-time

Many "professional" players I have known over the years are bored for most of the time. Even when taking into account long away trips, this certainly is not a standard 40 to 45 hour a week job..

to be fair I did question the validity of the information, but also to be fair operations are often brought forward when players are out of favour to ensure they are fit for the next season

They might only be "a pub team" but they don't charge a lot against yet another "pub team"

perhaps the Torquay players should be the half time entertainment in a 5-a-side match !

Just a small point perhaps, but not only did Braintree travel down on the day and back the same night....but did anyone see their team bus? No plush backward facing seats, tables and coffee machines on this one. It was little more than a school bus.
