Re: League 2: Northampton Town vs Torquay United

That's 6 points we've dropped in the last few minutes of games in recent weeks.

Southend home
Cheltenham away
Northampton away

These dropped points will come back to haunt us I'm afraid.

Bristol Rovers sack Penny

Buckles name isn't as prominent this time around surprisingly.

They've given a caretaker role to Stuart Campbell until the end of the season and then depending on how he does and what division they're in, the summer might prove interesting.

Re: Cheltenham Vs The Gulls!

I'm working in Stafford on Tuesday and will be knocking off early so I can get down to CHeltenham nice and early. Should be a good crowd for this one, so hopefully we can get three points and march on up the table. :)

A good turnout from Southend too, I think they brought 307.

Looks like Brentford might be looking for a bigger name.

I bet Buckle's regretting his tactical decisions now!

Unbelieveable Jeff!

Re: Televised FAC 4th Round Games

I'm not saying that we should be forced a diet of watching the Big 4 all the time. What I am saying is that there are better ties to appeal to the armchair viewer than our game. Stevenage v Reading West Ham v Notts Forest Notts County v Leicester or Man City I think whoever wins our game will get a ...

Re: Televised FAC 4th Round Games

Realistically, does anybody truly believe that Torquay United v Crawley Town would be a crowd puller? On the day we won't fill the ground so how many people around the UK do you think would switch on to watch it live? How many of us would tune in to watch Lincoln City play Stafford Rangers live on t...

Re: When was your first Torquay game?

My first game was in 82 or 83 for Ian Twitchens testimonial against Aston Villa. Villa had won the European cup only the year before and brought all the stars down, Gary Shaw, NIgel Spink, Peter Withe and Tony Morley et al. The game ended in 2-1 victory for United. My abiding memory was of standing ...

Re: Who do we want?

I'd take a nice home time against Northampton or another mid table league 2 side. Gives us a good chance of winning but if we lose, there's no shame. ;-)

Re: Your chance to design next years home kit

I like Fonda's idea of using the Hull kit as a template and changing the colours.

Very similar to the Oxford kit in the mid 80's

Re: Playing budget cut confirmed...

I agree with those who criticise the lack of ambition but the recession is a much bigger reason for the drop in gates. I have held a season ticket for the past few seasons but this year I had to make a decision whether I could afford it and the answer was no. I have an 80 mile journey down to homes ...

Re: Barclays Fantasy League

There is already a TUFC Supporters league set up but I don't know what the league code is to join.

Maybe somebody else remembers?

There's currently 30 members playing.

Re: New away kit

Not keen myself, I always think I should be ordering a Big Mac whenever I see someone wearing it. I preferred the white with gold and blue trim from last season.
