A relatively evenly fought contest so far with a bright spell from Torquay before half time.

Romain and Davis putting in the miles.

The two biggest challenges I’ve seen today are :

1) our defence are hoofing it forward and completely bypassing the midfield, yet when Young and Dowling have got on the ball they have shown that they can play the ball.

2) there is no ‘travel’ on the ball - with the exception of Romain and Davis, most players have seemed reluctant to push on with the ball.

I’d suggest both of these issues are confidence related.

That said, confidence has been building throughout the half so here’s to that continuing in the second half. Williams and Romain both look keen to get on the score sheet so let’s see if we can get the ball to their feet over the next 45 minutes.

Solid half. Next 45 needs to produce at least one more goal than Barrow.

Absolutely Westie. A win today gives us the opportunity of heading to the next game needing to win that also but at least it's hope. If we get beat in the next game then we're back to square one again probably but keeps it interesting for the next game.
