Not a great career record and he moves around a lot. His goal scoring leaves much to be desired. Let's hope Owers has other choices.

Seems unlikely, if you search Twitter he played for Bastia last weekend.

It does look very like Manset. I remember him at Hereford in 2010/2011 before his move to Reading.
He has certainly moved about a lot but Martin Kuhl is just the guy to sort his head out because he has ability but needs a strong man to keep him on the straight and narrow.
28 years old we could be his last chance.

Manset would be a dream ticket if he can rediscover his previous form. Saw him cause us all manner of bother at Hereford a few years back before his move to Reading. Absolute beast, power and pace in abundance and plenty of technical ability too.

But can he put the ball in the net - past record pretty poor on that front.

Looks like an interesting prospect if it is him - I had a look at one of his highlights videos and it looks like he is the kind of guy who will put them away when 5 yards out from the goal...do our team provide that kind of service to capitalise on someone who operates this way?

I feel like we need someone who can get a shot on target from anywhere or a target man who will get the back on front of a player like the above

It is 100% not Mathieu Manset. He doesn't look like him, he's not broad or tall enough, and as of the weekend Manset did not have blonde hair. Manset is currently playing in the number 9 shirt for SC Bastia (as A J mentioned), started for them at the weekend, and has scored two in his last two games.

Herald Express are describing him as a mystery French striker......
Regardless I don't think it is Manset either.

We are at that desperate stage now where we are pinning all our hope on a trialist who scored twice in a reserve friendly (one of which was a pen!).

He looks as if he could scare a few defences even with his strapped leg!

18 games, 11 points and we are nailed on for the drop.

I guess our scout is working overtime in search of a decent striker. 😏
Life is like TUFC. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. :goal:

I wonder if it will take 4 weeks to get one on board like the management fiasco. And that isn't exactly setting the world on fire given the results so far.
