Neither skybet or bet 365 are offering odds either. Is it a done thing that we will qualify, to me it’s a massive banana skin

It would be a done thing if it was any other club.

If we say any other team doing well in one league drawn against a part-time team from 2 (or is it 3?) divisions below, we would absolutely look at it as a relatively straightforward event. The thing is, it's Torquay United, and I'm sure we can recall from memory plenty of times where we should win easily and find a way to get knocked out!

This is similar to the Lymington match last season. However with no replays they will have a right go for sure. Certainly wont be a goal fest from it . However we be fitter than them so come end of match should be in the first round for a change 😉

Boreham Wood at same stage last season, knocked out by Maidstone First Round. ;-)

Sholing to me are Vospers (Vosper Thorneycroft FC), they progressed from the Southampton Premier League before changing their name and winning the Wessex League a number of times. They've ventured into the Southern League but always seemed to lose their best players that got them there before returning to the Wessex League and regrouping. They've always struggled financially but on their day they can cause an upset and won at Wembley in the Vase a few years ago. They attract the cream of local talent that doesn't want to commit to full time football and have some real quality players in their starting eleven. If we play to our strengths we should win comfortably but don't be surprised if Sholing make it very difficult for us, they are a tight nit squad and are more than capable of springing a surprise. I am expecting GJ to send out a prepared team and our quality and experience should see us into the next round.

15 minutes in and chances for both sides. Two good stops one on one by Covolan, this isn't going to be easy with the blustery conditions and uneven pitch. Sholing are competing better than I hoped but it's early doors and I expect our fitness to be the telling factor.

You're right, wasn't close enough and the eyes are not what they once were.

Couple of successive corners for each team but we're starting to press a little better now
