United Mourn The Loss Of Club Friend Kevin

Torquay United is mourning the loss of a true friend of the Club, Kevin Ling of local business, London Boy Blue Ice Cream Vans. The news of Kevin’s sudden passing is even more poignant, with Kevin and his brother Peter donating £197 to the Club earlier this week, having pledged 50p from every one of their exclusive TUFC-themed ice creams sold at Plainmoor ahead of The Gulls’ last four home matches, including our final home game of the season last Saturday. Kevin was once again in fine form last weekend, and therefore the shock of his passing is felt even more keenly by those of us here at Plainmoor. Many of us had grown to know both Kevin and Peter better during the past two months, and the kindness and warmth shown by both of them during the Club’s recent struggles off the pitch will never be forgotten. The thoughts and condolences of all of the staff at Torquay United go out to Peter, and all of Kevin’s family and friends, and this very sad time.
