I would happily pay £10/£15 to watch games at home. Of course I would rather watch live, bus an alternative it will do.

Does anyone know if there is going to be any coverage, either streaming or radio, of Saturday's friendly against Bath?

So the National League has deferred a decision about the start of the season to allow an appeal to the Government for financial support in the absence of spectators at games.

Given that the Government has already indicated that elite sport has to be prepared to look after itself what chance is there that the EFL and NL will be successful?

Perhaps Clubs like TUFC can take advantage of the new wage subsidy scheme which, coupled with season ticket and streaming income, could keep most of them afloat and permit a season start?

We’re off to play some Grecians at their training ground tomorrow at 2 o’clock. Not likely to be much match coverage as it’s at the training ground:-

So Tuesday morning and as far as I can see we still don’t know if we are playing this weekend? Not the best preparation in the world.

And what will happen to the fixtures that Macclesfield Town is involved in. Will they be removed in the same way that happened to Bury when they went out of business?

Their first three games are postponed as per the link below. This seems to suggest the National League are still expecting to go ahead this weekend.

Macclesfield have now been expelled from the 12th of October, this as mentioned above is the date after the 3 postponed games.

On another note the government have just agreed to bailout grants (not loans) upto a total of £20 million for the whole of the National League structure. Details are a bit vague at the moment but potentially somewhere in the region on £400-£500 thousand may be available to National League teams with obviously less for the regional leagues. Hopefully, this will mean we may not see another Macclesfield in the near future.

I don't know too much about football finance but a quick back of the envelope calculation of 2000 fans, 1000 season tickets and 1000 on the gate paying on average £15 for ~25 games is £360 000, the other associated costs of games has also changed but this may keep slot of teams afloat.

More info here re Govt money.
Also, I suspect that Ebbsfleet will be asked to take Macclesfield's place in the NL.

At the moment that might consist of standing outside Mill Farm with a public Wi-Fi connection and streaming the game on your phone.

They can't change everyone fixtures so it will just be two games left for everyone.
