What do you do, if you turn up at AG and the sign on the gate says "No test no entry" ?

I’ve emailed Torquay. Hope they can clarify.

Surely if a test is entry requirement both clubs would be making this clear but nothing on either website. All we’ve had is Ashton Gate’s COVID Policy which isn’t clear. I showed it to someone who works in football today and their view was it means test is recommended but not compulsory.

I’ve had a reply from Dominic at the club which just quotes the Ashton Gate information we’ve already been sent.

If tests are essential for entry they really must stress this although if they were maybe Bristol City would have been more definitive about it.

On the Hartlepool site the BCFC code of conduct says " please take a test if you are able to do so " not mandatory, also says travel to the ground should be by private car or walking!!
We'd better leave now, Hartlepool should have left last Sunday.

Been racking my brains to try and come up with a solution, and by jove I think I've found one!

They may not let you in without a negative lat flow, yes?

So, and here's where it gets super cunning...TAKE A DAMNED LATERAL FLOW TEST!!! :slap:

Point is that 6200 fans will turn up for the match.
If they haven’t been told that tests are compulsory many won’t have had them.
If they are compulsory it needs to be made clear.

And while you're at it bend over and take one up the jacksy just because the government say there's a pandemic....

Oh and then take the knee......

Struggling to see what's causing the anxiety. The code of conduct doesn't say testing is mandatory. It says "if able to do so, order a test.'
It is encouraging people to get a test but not making it compulsory. That's my interpretation of the text anyway.
But I will do a test. I get them posted to me anyway.
I might even take a few kits with me so if some jobsworth insists on a test I will pull myself out of the queue, sit on a step or other suitable flat surface and do lateral flow test there and then. Simples.

Bristol City have published two policies, neither of which say a test is compulsory but one of which says 'Evidence from either will be sent to you via the NHS App or by Email, which you may be asked to evidence to facilitate entry'. It is that statement that causes concern as saying tests are only recommended but may be required for entry is contradictory.

I'm pretty sure they are just asking people to have tests as part of their general Covid safety measures but many won't and if they do insist at the gate there will be problems.

Which would mean that three torquay fans would miss the game unnecessarily.

I'm not doing it cos the government say so, I'm doing it cos my fiancee, who is a doctor in the NHS says so. With her having seen these people dying, having another degree in human biosciences, and specialist qualification in infectious diseases, I'd say she's pretty qualified.

6,000 shoppers go through our local Tesco’s extra every day and never have they been asked to present a LFT.
