[OS] Thank You Hash House Harriers!

Post by TorquayFans.com »

Everyone at Torquay United would like to thank The Hash House Harriers for their support, after the group held a fundraiser for the Club at Boots & Laces earlier this week. Tuesday evening saw about 30 ‘Hashers’, whose members support the likes of Plymouth Argyle, Exeter City and Torquay United come together to fundraise for the Club. United with one common cause, the group met at Boots & Laces before embarking on a trail, ending up back at Torquay United’s very own sport’s bar to enjoy some well earned food and drink. With trails for all abilities, the route saw those walking take on a two mile path, meanwhile the group of runners endured a very tough 4 mile run, with the route taking the group downhill to Babbacombe Beach, before following the same route back up. With a number of different football shirts and colours on show the group had a bucket collection, before supporting the Club via Boots & Laces, enjoying a few drinks in the process! One member of the group, Russell Terry, a Season Ticket holder at fellow Devon Club Exeter City has already purchased his ticket to support United this weekend when Hampton & Richmond come to town. Already partaking in Prostate Cancers ‘Marching For Mens Awareness’ campaign, which sees Russell walk 11,000 steps a day. With this weekend also marking Non-League Day, the National League is issuing a limited edition pennant to mark the League ten year anniversary working with Prostate Cancer UK. Russell will also continue to support the charity this weekend, as he’s opted to walk from his home in Newton Abbot, all the way to Plainmoor to complete his steps for the day on Saturday! To Follow Russell’s challenge, or donate, you can visit his March The Month donation page HERE. The Club would like to once again reiterate its thanks to Hash House Harriers for their support, and also wish Russell all the best with the remainder of his March The Month challenge! The post Thank You Hash House Harriers! first appeared on Torquay United.
