Read my last post. Get real. We get a good result and still people have to try and be negative about it. What are we gonna do, win every single match now or bollock the players? Great idea.

A decent result today. A draw away to the top team is as good as any side can hope for, let alone a side that has performed so poorly in recent weeks. Important to build on that against Barrow, which is a must win game.

Can see Andy's frustration as he realises times running out but confidence breeds confidence and a draw against the leaders may give the players some belief which has been lacking for so long a win against Barrow and they may just believe, not saying its do able but at least givesbtge players some pride and fight again

WIND YOUR NECK IN Andy bloody part time supporter. Obviously we need wins but it is still an unexpected point so be happy for that for once.

After seeing all the dross at Plainmoor this season ( You have not ) so a point is a happy and welcome surprise.

So do one

Yes every draw is a frustration as to avoid relegation we now need to average 2 points a game. As we have so far averaged 2 points every 3 games that is not going to happen is it? A draw away to the league leaders has to be seen as a point gained, but it is only a point with another game less to play now to save ourselves.

It's not a bad result. Still a fair number of games to go and apart from Solihull no one did better. No it's not an obvious season changer but maybe it's a bit of a stabiliser. I don't blame them defending the point.

1st vs 24th and we get a point away from home. Good result in my eyes. Obviously we need wins, but this is the kind of result that can help in the coming games - if we can get a good result vs 1st place then why fear any team in this league? We must now go on and win games and try and close that gap down one game at a time. Barrow looks an absolutely key fixture because of their position and ours - a real "6-pointer".

I know as an away team we are not a crowd puller anymore, but an attendance of 1, 510 for a top of the league side is woeful. Anyway well done to our Northern brethren for turning up and supporting the team. Hope you were pleased with the result. Who knows, one day you may look back at this as the starting point of the Great Escape Part 3, and say 'I was there'.

Can understand the frustration in going defensive after the goal, sometimes it pays to continue doing what you were doing that got you that goal in the first place, but, it's top v bottom, and we're away, if we'd continued to try and attack and conceded a late goal, what would we being saying.

It's a point away to the top team in the league, that's a good result in anyone's book, no draws don't help us, however if the team can beat Barrow at home next week, it becomes a very good result.

Last week I posted on the Bromley game thread. "Come on Torquay the great escape starts today with a win as we begin our rise to safety. Leading us to the away game at Orient (providing Orient get thumped by Dover in the FA vase) Saturday the 24th Feb will see us win for 7th time in a row as we lift ourselves out of the relegation places dumping Orient in our place....... OK maybe 6 wins Macclesfield away next week might be tough ask for a win, will settle for a draw!!!"
Just Maybe the great escape was destined to start a week later than we all thought!! Come did anyone seriously think we would could a point at Macclesfield especially after going one down and especially after last week. If we win next week who knows.... Still plenty to play for and least we have some hope this week..
