All very true, but remember Morecambe could have been just as canny in saying "either we buy him now or not at all", knowing that we wanted to sell and wanted the cash, but would have been unavailable if he was still on loan.
To be honest, I'm not that bothered if we are facing Charnock. He was a decent enough player, but not good enough ultimately to displace Branno or Ellis. I'm still comfortably that man for man, charnock or no charnock we are a stronger side than morecambe. The players just need to perform as we know they are capable of, otherwise they will become unstuck in what is definately a tricky game.
