Hi Guys
My belated debut on the forum is a baptism of fire ahead of the massive game with Barnet tonight.
As mentioned by our new chief executive Andrew Candy in a recent thread, I am the media man here at Plainmoor, which means I’m ostensibly in charge of the club website, match-day programme and press relations.
A brief overview of my background starts with missing the target as a striker in the Sixth Form at Torquay Boys Grammar School, later moving to the mighty Hele Rovers, where I was sensibly moved into a midfield role of kicking people, rather than the ball.
On a professional level, I went travelling for a few years, graduated from Cardiff University and was told to grow up and get a proper job by my dad. Soon after, Plymouth Argyle called and I spent five years working through the media team at Home Park.
Just as the Green house of cards came tumbling down, the job of press officer at Plainmoor became available and I naturally jumped at the chance to abandon traffic jams for a career at my hometown club.
Along with Andrew, my role on here will be to hopefully provide clarity on certain issues within the club and perhaps explain the background behind some of the decisions we make, and stories released on the club website.
I am happy for anybody to contact me at any time and I’ll endeavour to respond to every enquiry. I will obviously keep an eye on what’s being said on here and get involved where appropriate, but you can always drop me an e-mail on
[email protected]
In the meantime, I’ve put a link to a recent story posted on the club website that may spark some debate. First of all, however, three points tonight is everything.
Come on You Yellows.
