Not sure how we have ended up talking about Rene Howe on the Taylor thread, however Rene signing for Burton suggests he was not after a better deal , it's unlikely Burton can pay Rene any more than we can. His move to Burton suggests he genuinely was after nothing else than a move north just as he said.

Any way back on topic, coaching U18's is Taylor's level, so a good move for him.

Matt try and get real. What evidence do you have about Rene's "attitude " ?? As per Jerry & SG he was just looking for a better deal. Whats wrong with that ? Wouldn't you in the real world. So exasperating at times....

Just got back from the trenches (digging out footings/foundations (8) Why do you build me up Buttercup (8) ..............

Not those Foundations

Their is only one "Turnip Taylor" and it aint our Deb'n buhy Shaun.

Got caught short between a rock and a hard place when the sh*t hit the fan / the "professional social drinker" went on one.

He may have been a professional footballer, he may have been a professional football manager, what he wasn't was a real thoroughbred PSD (professional social drinker).

He is an honest pro, he's back in his own back yard, I hope Shaun Taylor enjoys his time at Argyle and I wish him the best.

Then there's the difference between PSD and PA (piss artist).

PAs fail to read what is on the tin.

PSDs note the recycling message and comply.

Agree with Jerry. He served us well, said nice things about the club and has now moved on. What's the big deal?

Thanks Rene, was a pleasure watching you play for our little club, best of luck at your new club.

It's the attitude he gives off, it's a culmination of all sorts.

Really?

From where I'm sitting all Rene did was have the temerity to say he didn't want to sign a new contract with us. This caused some people to go into meltdown. How dare someone not love the club like we do!!

I've not seen anything from him that suggests anything like what you suggest, he's simply been away on holiday and then taken his time to decide his future, nothing wrong with that.

It's nothing to do with Burton, it's that Rene has been strutting about the globe, safe in the knowledge that he is the greatest thing since sliced bread and that, surely, now that fool Ferguson has been ousted, Man Utd are sure to be banging down his door. He's blown his load and ended up at a club who are just as likely to go down as up and do not, in any way, represent advancement in ability, level or prestige.

Matt.

We're very quick to mock clubs like Northampton for their big club attitude, yet we seem to be demonstrating a touch of this ourselves where Burton are concerned. They may not be a big step up, but they certainly aren't a step down.

As Lucy says, he's no manager (no blame on either side, the club were desperate through no fault of their own), but then, that's like accusing David Beckham of being a rubbish dentist, it simply doesn't matter. Good luck Shaun. At least you've stepped up, unlike like some clubs (pick one at random... Burton Albion), Plymouth is an improvement over us.

Matt.

Good luck to him, no hard feelings really, it just didn't work out when he was found out for being clueless(yes I was their at Rochdale). In hindsight he seems to have good coaching abilities so good luck Shaun.
