So we can all relax (well, as much as a TUFC fan ever can). He's not going to be loaned out suddenly next week as part of a summer sale, and those Exeter rumours (that I'm far too shattered to look for, but am sure did not dream) were but rumours. Hurrah!!

There seems to be a new wave of slightly silly money going round the lower leagues at the moment, and whilst I accept that defenders always go for less than strikers, it still seems very, very low to me. Surely we should be looking for more like £200-250k? Am I imagining it or do other L2 teams always seem to get much better deals for their young stars? For the first time in years we've actually got a promising crop of youngsters, it'd be such a shame to see Ellis, O'Kane and Benyon go for a combined fee of like £300k, and then having to start all over again with a new spine of the team. Forgive the rambling rant, but I'm really bloody fed up with football after this nightmarish (if not totally unexpected) weekend. It'd just top it all off if Ellis leaves in the next couple of days for some pathetic sub-£100k fee. Aaarrrghhh. That is all.
have a drink mate................. :)

I was told by a pretty good source that we turned down a £60k bid from Rochdale and the club are holding out for £100k. I guess the tomorrow we'll find out how costly that defeat yesterday was.....

As long as we could get in a decent cover, wouldn't be too sad to see him leave, he's looked far from amazing of late, as shown yesterday with Branston, perhaps the talk of a transfer and people putting a price on him has affected his game, but i've not been impressed by him of late, Robertson on the otherhand I feel has really stepped up in his game, pushing forward, covering central defence etc..

Indeed, plus the money from the full house yesterday.

So there must be something we can do.
