That is a put-down of the highest quality and no mistake.

Oscar Wilde would no doubt shake your hand and Olivia Wilde would shag you...

...were it not for the fact that the former is dead and the latter has eyes.

Grammar and spelling does get to me sometimes I'll admit, but hope not to pick anyone up on it just as I'll try not to offend anyone with any 'habits' i have picked up over time.

And as for being educated and from Kent, yes both are true, but not especially. Spent more of my life in Devon anyway.

Anyway, we played well in the second half!

It may be archaic English, but now it's American! I'll let you off this time, but in future just watch it..!! :rules:

Going to claim it as British Archaic if that's ok, as no American in me at all. True reason I chose this grammatical structure is that once upon a time, in a land far away, my girlfriend of the time, and of that land, commented on my use of said structure as the most beautiful English, so therefore I retain a soft spot.

And a present day Americanism it may be, but certainly one that stems from the 'beautiful' complexity of our all encompassing language.

Faversham Gull wrote:Don't think Benyon would've gotten a sniff the way we played in the first half, and in the second he may have been on the end of hard work by the likes of Hawley and Ball, ie like Chappell and others were, but would we have created these chances with Benyon in place of either striker, as these two got things going which the midfield pair did not. The midfield got better, but the spark came from the front four.

Brucie, you have many issues

In addition, i'm sure if we flipped it around and won at Morecambe and drew at Northampton then lots of people would see that the start we have made is really pleasing. AFC Wimbledon at home first game we can ignore as it is first game and anything can happen, Oxford at home we shouldn't be too upset with defeat, we have come from behind 3 times already to get points and we look like we are steadily improving and getting some cohesion (at least in the second halves! :) ). I'm lovin' it baby. :)
