They wouldn't have got as far as they have, had they not had the ability to squeeze every last penny of worth out of every player they lose.

I wouldn't dispute that at all.

It does appear however that their "suits" seem to be taking up a large percentage of said transfer fees ;-)

Think I might start supporting Exeter actually - less miles to travel for starters, attractive football, and a bloody good smartly dressed manager to boot.
Supporting Torquay is bad for your health.....anyone got the samaritans number..... :O

Quite right Fonda - they have consistently got good money for average players.

So well-run that only a matter of a few weeks ago they were almost cashless, couldn't borrow money by way of a loan, and needed desperately to get a game on or they were in deep financial shit. They aren't as safe as you might assume.

At this moment in time it is. Fortunes change, in a week, sometimes less than a week, and then turn around in a week or less.

Remember last season before we went on the end of season run ?

In the words of Sherman tank commander, Sergeant Oddball (Kelly's Heroes) :

"HAVE A LITTLE FAITH !"

You're preaching to the converted Oddbod, some of us at TUFC don't do little.

Don't be silly sir. For the foreseeable future were a decent league two club and long may it stay like that. As for Plymouth, I don't really know. I would sort of like them to come down so we can have a derby next year. If were still in league 2 that is ;-)

If you have a very small amount of staff and a big order would you get rid of any?
If you had the chance to make alot of money and secure a future would you do the work half heartedly using second rate work?
You want to keep your loyal suppoters who use you regularly providing an income do you leave them out in the cold to queue for your work?
Do you provide investment into your business to keep it thriving or just keep it ticking over?
It appears that P.B. gets bored around the end of Jan. each year. He dumped Sills & Hargreaves last year, & has now returned Hemmings to Wolves, & got rid of "Poor&IneffectiveNickyWroe". Is he about to select Saul Halpin for an extended run in the team? Will he bring in a few decent loan players? How on earth did he get Morecombe to part with C.Stanley (Accrington to his friends :-D )? Who knows! I look forward to the remainder of the season.

Yeah, I'm certain that our board with a combined worth of £17,000,000 will allow our club, with a total value of £750,000, to go to the wall.

Matt.
