"Spoke to the Gaffer and it is until the end of the season, Torquay can request that he is available for the play-offs and that would be something hard for us to refuse."

I think you should press him for an exact quote, the second part seems more of an impression by him than anything factual.

Robinson is available for us to play in the play-offs should we get there. That doesn't change whether we play you or not, the loan was signed with no clause to exclude us from playing him against you and will run until our final game of the season.

To be fair, "end of the season" is a bit ambiguous in these circumstances.

We don't need your permission to play Robinson, the "loan deal" is already signed until the "end of the season".

How is Wroe doing for you? I know he scored but besides that, how is his general play and are the fans warming to him?
Only seem him once yet myself, two of his three games were away from home, but we've won all three he's played so hopefully he's doing something right. ;-)

I thought he had a decent game against Stevenage on Saturday and he certainly took his goal very well, timing his run into the box perfectly. Stevenage probably isn't the best game to judge him too much in though as they're just a bunch of physical spoilers. It was never going to be anything other than a very scrappy, stop start game against them.

Ideal.

All set up for him to score a hattrick then.

The answer is there is nothing in the loan agreement to prevent Jake from playing against us when we visit later this season.

If our coaching staff can Identify why he fizzles out then we may able to take the initial loan further.

gulls_aloud wrote:Thanks for that, Matt. Interesting that the eligibility issue hasn't gone away - obviously hope Robinson will be able to play against his old club and would totally understand if that's not allowed. In time he should form a good partnership with Billy Kee for us and hopefully the away form will pick up.

Good luck with the rest of your season - except when you play us, of course, and hope you make it down here.
Thanks. Robbo is a good player and i'll be sad to see him leave if he doesn't come back at the end of this loan, but he's out of contract in the summer so I have a feeling he might not be.

I hope you can get yourselves back up there and have an exciting end to your season.

I'd have hoped we would have requested it as part of the Wroe deal ;-)
