It could be very important whther Oxford need points to make the play offs when they play at Norhampton on the last day. If already safely in play offs a hard game will become much easier Northampton will probably beat them.

Hartlepool and any one of the six clubs beneath them.

I don't want Exeter to come down with us cos (a) I don't want Argyle fans or that prat Gordon Sparks to be able to crow that they are the only league club in Devon and (b) I actually like and respect Paul Tisdale as a manager. And I don't want Wycombe to be relegated cos they're a well run and friendly little club ...... and this is my dilemma. I really, really want Northampton or Portsmouth to come down with us (although Pompey seem to be digging themselves out of the mire).

Our last game is against Wycombe by which time even the dumbest mathematician will realise that it's impossible for us to avoid relegation. My allegiance to the bunch of losers turning out in yellow shirts this season is tenuous. If Wycombe have to beat us to stay in the league at Northampton's expense, do I cheer for Wycombe or stay loyal to Torquay ? I feel very, very tempted to cheer on the Chairboys ...... Anyone else had this thought ?

At least we should get a bigger crowd than average for a local derby?

I don't really get why people want Exeter to come down with us.

I understand it would be nice to see them suffer too, but surely having them down with us will just generate extra competition for any player who is open to a move South West? They are likely to be in a better position than us anyway, so I can just see us losing out on players to them.

And regardless, I think the whole situation at Plainmoor will get worse before it gets better. I'd rather we go through this away from our local rivals

I also now think it will be the Grecian scum (with us, of course). This is likely to go to the last game of the season, when Exeter's future may depend on us beating Wycombe. In which case I will be supporting Wycombe.

Looking at the 5 game run in I can't see it being anybody else than Exeter City to join us.

Normally I would not want to see any Devon team relegated out of the Football League, but as we are going down with a whimper it would be quite nice to have some local company.

I would like Northampton to go as well. Not sure what it is but I've never liked them. So Northampton and Portsmouth then. That would be a bit of a shock for the Conference
