:goodpost:

And take Nicholson with him for the same reasons.

Have been watching BT Sports coverage of the Conference over the last few weeks - in preparation for this day - and there are a number of quick wingers in that league who would skin Nicho on a weekly basis.

Stevens may have (and that is open to debate) proven his worth at Conference level but that was SEVEN YEARS AGO.

It's time to move on.

Nico will be released in my opinion and as someone else said, he should be given his due respect and farewell. I can only see Danny Stevens stay and I would not mind as he has proven his worth at conference level. I really hope we will keep Cameron as he will be terrific at conference level.
I think Luton will be going for someone a bit better than Mansell, unless it involves coaching of some sort.

Mansell seems very settled here in Devon, I'm not sure really where he would go if he left.

My post was actually probably quoting a Smiths B side or something.

In an odd way the jokes did bring a smile.

This season has been bad, but your previous two jokes have made me want to stop supporting the club forever, and never frequent this forum again.

CP has nailed it with his summary, although personally I would make serious efforts to keep Labadie -

Despite being rubbish, there are a fair few I would retain - a squad wide upheaval isn't going to be possible anyway, and may not be in our interest.

CP has nailed it with his summary, although personally I would make serious efforts to keep Labadie - I can't see many League teams wanting to sign him after this season really.

Good call Chris (CP) with your summary. That CH has stated there wont be wholesale changes suggests a number of those who posters on here would like to see the back of won't be going.
For me Poke has blown his chance and will be released; Rice is becoming our Number 1 on merit.
Mansell will be kept and probably due to financial constraints so will Danny Stevens.
I,too, hope Goodwin and Cargill will return either as our players or on loan. Sadly Pearce (Player of the Season?) will be sold and after recent eye catching displays Cameron too could go for a fee.
I stayed behind after the game yesterday and I can tell you the players were gutted.
As Alan Knill could have said yesterday: great win and performance, relegation feels like promotion!

Gulliball wrote: When put like that, there's not a lot of quality there. Lathrope and Cameron are the only ones that stand out. We need a lot of work this summer, which is alarming, especially given that the manager said yesterday that there won't be wholesale changes. For this reason I wouldn't get rid of Downes, Pearce or Chapell until they have been replaced.

Poke or Rice

Tonge - Downes - Pearce - xxx

Chapell - xxx - Lathrope - Cameron

Benyon/Yeoman - xxx

That would be a reasonable starting point, and if we did lose some, we should be looking to get a fee that we can use for a replacement. I don't think Poke's reputation is that high outside of Devon, and his injury record is appalling. I wouldn't rule him out yet.
Hawleys arm injury is a concern apparently its really, bad break - i therefore hope we can pay him off at a reduced rate!

Will be interesting to hear about Labadie, i heard as a rumor as he was found guilty we didn't actually have to pay his wages during his banned spell! - I don't know how true that is but I unsure if he'd stay!
