Greeting and thanks from Wycombe

No problem, Wycombe fan. Happy to oblige. I though "You lot" were great on Sat. really got behind your boys. It was fun watching you get excited  when Northampton went a goal down, then a bit sad :-/ when they equalised, then all happy  again when you found out that Brizzle Rovers were losing. I didnt need to check the scores, as I knew, from your reactions, what they were. The loudest cheer, of the day, was when you knew that the final whistle had been blown at the Memorial ground, and Mansfield had won. Classic.
Best of luck, next season. Sorry not to be visiting your ground. :'( Its one of my favorites....apart from trying to get out of the car park, that is. Always takes about 30/40 mins.

Can't fault Wycombe one little bit in any dealing I've ever had with them. I **** hate the town (HMQ demanded I reside there for a while), but the club are genuinely good people. Stupid rules about car park exiting aside, the view from the ground is exceptional. Went there for a family fun day last season and had a laugh in the car park with that Clem bloke off the telly. The burger van at one end is hilariously priced and at the other delicious. Fans, stewards, staff all delightful. Robbing bastards earlier in the season, nicking the points in a game you never looked into, but that's our fault, not yours.

Can't fault Wycombe. I also hear they have an excellent record of Health and Safety, which is pleasing...

Matt.

I thought the Wycombe fans were brilliant and fair play to them and their club. I was in the bench behind the away dugout and as the result of the Rovers game filtered down to their management team they all started celebrating. We all stood up and clapped and then Ainsworth turned round and clapped us.
The whistle went and their celebrations began. No one entered the pitch and not one fan goaded us on the day. Mutual respect and I am glad they had their day on our ground and I was there to witness it.
Hope to see you soon Wycombe, when both of us have the Football League badges on the sleeves of our shirts!

Greeting and thanks from Wycombe

Thanks Wycombe. Fair play to all of you; you came here, supported your team magnificently & got your just reward. We were left thinking 'if only'. Your chanting of 'ChairBoys' is still ringing in my head ! Thanks to all of you for respecting us as well. We had our 'let's just have some fun' party at Mansfield the week before, & at the end of the game some of their scummy fans invaded the pitch to come over to the away end & glory in our relegation; then they came round to our coach & surrounded it & we had to have a police escort out of town. I wouldn't have been surprised if any of your lot had wanted a pitch invasion to celebrate, your players & manager were having a great party; but you didn't. Good luck for next season & like you, hope we're playing against you again very soon !

Greeting and thanks from Wycombe

Thanks for your kind words, personally didn't want to watch your fans go through it, was quite happy to see you partying, hopefully, one day we'll actually get to do the same on our own ground, would be nice.

Spoke to some Wycombe fans myself, they were just hoping your club can sort itself out enough over the summer to avoid going through the same, this time next year.

Hi all. I'm a bit late in posting this as I only got back from a long weekend in Torquay, but really wanted to say a huge thanks and best wishes from a Wycombe perspective. Firstly, to say what great fans you have - everyone we spoke to, before and after the game, including the guy who owned our guesthouse, was incredibly friendly and generous-spirited, particularly given the situation for you - the many who said well done as we walked back to the car, despite obviously feeling down, was genuinely heart warming. The fans during the game and immediately after full time were fantastically dignified and generous in their applause. It can't have been much fun watching the opposition partying like that when you know you're down. I always love coming down to Torquay for away games and hope I will again very soon. Your fans are a credit to the club and your club is a credit to the football league. I sincerely hope you're back up among us again very soon. Best of luck for next season.
