I sent an email to the Swindon FC Stadium Manager and mentioned how bad the stewards were that night, also the fact that when Milwall played the following Saturday (which was televised) how every single away fan was standing.......... I got a response back saying he will loook into it, but not had a response since.

Didn't see any steward related problems myself, but following the anal stewarding at Swindon in the JPT earlier in the season, i emailed TUFC and the email made it's way to Simon Baker, who then emailed me, to say he'd forwarded the comments onto the Swindon Chairman. I never heard anything back, didn't really expect to, but i was at least pleased our club was willing to forward the concerns of it's supporters.

Agreed. My mate said he was sat in front of this older guy at the game and said he caused absolutely no trouble throughout the game, said one thing which was believed to be along the lines of 'Blimey, what would happen if there was real trouble, eh?' and he gets kicked out, leaving his wife there by herself for the rest of the game, understandably worried. Absolute farce.

I thought it was Dave Harris but said nowt as I wasn't there. Dave is a gentleman and compared with Bartlett it's no contest. It will be interesting to hear Dave's side of events at the next home match.

As for stewarding, that's a different can of worms. Some apply common sense effectively and efficiently and others do what they're brainwashed to do. Political correctness shafts the gullible (those devoid of common sense) up the arse. As logic is forged on the anvil of awareness, I'll leave it to you to realise what is red hot, what gets shoved up the arse of political correctness and what takes pleasure in delivering the instrument. :devil:

The 'old geezer' in question is Dave Harris, stands next to me and in front of Trojan at Plainmoor. Thoroughly nice chap, TUFC through and through (never misses a match home, away, reserve, youth) attends with his wife Nancy (who, despite constant protestations to the contrary is no longer 21). The idea that he is considered a sufficiently credible threat to the safety and security to CTFC and supporters around him is absolutely laughable. I think if the older guy knew why the 1st guy was being kicked out he would have realised that he didn't have to say what he said.

I have a lot of time for the stewards at Cheltenham, especially the main guy who seems to always be looking after us. When he came to eject the first lad, he even came over to me first and had a bit of a joke with me and then said why he was ejecting the lad. Letting of the smoke bomb is one thing, but too to stand there and keep lighting the lighter and waving it in the air as well. Not often I agree with stewards but in this case they did well. I cannot comment on the other ejection as I didn't hear / see it.

Yep that's the one, he was three rows behind me. He didn't appear to be aggressive, he was smiling when first talking to them but something annoyed them. I was surprised to see him being led out. They may have overreacted but it's done now.

I think if any of us had seen it we'd have dealt with it ourselves. Can't say I blame Manse for saying something like that in the heat of the moment though, who wouldn't be angry about it?

The guy I'm referring to is always sat with his wife and they always wear bright yellow coats. I can't imagine either of them causing any kind of trouble so can only assume he said something they didn't like.

I saw them talking to Paul Bastard on the way in Forever but Walshy is referring to something else.
The elderly man Walshy is talking about was asking the stewards about the lad who got taken out, he started off by saying something like "you lot are always looking for trouble", it wasn't said in an agressive or nasty way, then I focused again on the game. Next thing I see is the gentleman being taken out.
Good of them to keep a look out for you both though SG.
