Didn't see any steward related problems myself, but following the anal stewarding at Swindon in the JPT earlier in the season, i emailed TUFC and the email made it's way to Simon Baker, who then emailed me, to say he'd forwarded the comments onto the Swindon Chairman. I never heard anything back, didn't really expect to, but i was at least pleased our club was willing to forward the concerns of it's supporters.
i think clubs need to address the role of the steward. at the end of the day, they're there to ensure everyone in the ground is safe, and to assist the supporters if they need help etc. unfortunately, many of these jobsworths have taken it upon themselves to assume they are police/security, and feel they have a right to treat paying customers like children. its a shame, because for every decent one you get, there seems to be two complete ***ts.
