As i said on another thread, we should try something to raise attendances, we should be aiming for 3,000+ not 2,000+

Another suggestion would be to make two or three Tuesday games per season free for members of the Plainmoor members club.
Hopefully this would boost the number of people who are part of this scheme, and would far offset any lost admission revenue in the long term when considering that it is an on-going £10 a month scheme, boost the gate for any midweek games that are selected (those where it is felt there is going to be less than 2,000), while increasing the profile and membership of this members club - which I feel is a fantastic scheme which allows exiles like me to contribute to club coffers.

PB is right, the attendance was shocking for a team in the top half of league 2.

It is VERY worrying indeed, and if it continues then we will have big problems.

You cannot run a professional league 2 team on crowds like that, end of!

If the Torquay public dont support TUFC then we will be non league again very soon.

Glory hunters really piss me off, they substitute there unsucesfull lives by so called supporting teams that give them that successful and winning feeling they cant get in their own lives. I would question the word supporting actually, becuase most of them dont support, they watch from the pub or their front rooms, they are NOT football fans!

If you have friends or mates as described let them know and tell them to get down to plainmoor.

We will lose our club if it doesnt improve, be warned!

i would imagine that their 3rd deal will be declared illegal soon, given the news about women drivers insurance costs!! plus the old duffers deal is discriminating against younger fans and the family deal against those of us who dont have families, right now wheres the email address of my euro mp, i'm gonna get this matter sorted asap!!

good idea but cant see it happening, the board seems to think that knocking a quid off here and there will make a difference to crowd. i honestly think if you made it a fiver, or even completely free we'd struggle to get over 3,000 on a tuesday night with premiership game on?

fact is we've prob got a higher percentage of prem fans, especially of that team whose name i dare not speak, than most other areas of the country that dont possess a top club of their own. until this changes tufc will continue to struggle.

After Paul Buckle's complaints about a shocking crowd at Plainmoor last night, I believe there are ways that the club could help boost gates and potentially revenue from gate receipts. Not many people can afford to go to Plainmoor twice a week and with the backlog of games it has massively affected crowds. Torquay's crowd last night was by far the lowest in League 2 on the night, and this is a team pushing for the play-offs.

I believe that we can follow in Cheltenham's footsteps and introduce a 3-game set of deals at Plainmoor which aid different supporters.
