Partially true. I actually played through the years up until 2039 when I joined Torquay. They were in the Conference South when I joined and have since risen up to League One (if anyone is interested in reading more about my fictional time with Torquay feel free: https://vivalavidafm.com/vivatorquay/ )

I visited Torquay on holiday when I was younger and although I don't follow their results I am interested in where they finish each season. I'd say I have that fondness for Torquay without being an actual fan. I chose to manage Torquay because of this.

I'm only sorry I am unlikely to be around in 2044 as I would be 86 then and probably not fit to go anyway. assuming Utd are still in existence. I would hate to think we take until then to get into the league.
