Well we've definitely rattled the HE's cage haven't we, let's hope it's made them realise we are serious about our football club & look out anybody who tries to mess it up or tries to hide the truth from us ,we may be a little club stuck out on a limb in dozy south devon( in some peoples eyes ) but we care & we damn well care a lot

So the BBC are on to the case that the HE should have been on weeks/months ago!

The Herald Express USED to be quite good. That was in the old, old days when they published daily and had 'proper' news hounds; people like Allan Tudor and Alex Ali. This nonsense would never have got past them.

I don't understand why they are being like this ?

There is reason to question and question they are not.

So we have been questioning ( I've been reading with interest if I'm honest ) others have the knowhow of business and able to make sense of things that frankly some things I don't understand.

Come on hearld we should have the club at heart , never to late in my book. Jump on board and do the due dilliange we are doing

Did anybody notice the sarcastic comment from Guy Henderson thanking us for the good & bad comments about their style of journalism on the HE podcast last week ?

You'll not find one from me on there; I've been blocked for ages.

The cosy little world of Torbay Toryism censors serious debate because it knows it will be exposed for what it is ~ reactionary, self-interest based and undemocratic......shame on them!

We already have six comments on there, the more comments we make (or emails sent to Jim Parker - professional in tone) the more chance there is that the HE might actually start reporting on the things they should be. It only takes a few minutes to do.

Pointless with what been written by the Herald now to think they will change the poor coverage it deserves. Need to carry on doing it ourselves. Some very clever people on here and on the Penn inn site. It's not a witch hunt but end of day we are talking about our plainmoor home and once it's gone it's gone

Unreversable once it's been flattened , if it does

This kind of petulant writing and deliberate attempts to antagonise the readership is something I normally associate with the Guardian's Opinion page rather than the Herald.

Also if Harrop knew what he was talking about he'd know that Fleetwood's ground (Highbury) isn't new at all. They've played there since 1939.

well, what a well balanced thorough, piece of reporting....

......yeah like f**king twenty......

he managed to mention the debacle of Swindon, but has failed (surprise, surprise) to mention any other f**king place that Osborne has had his grubby hands on.....

if that's "investigative" journalism.... then thanks for nothing.

In the interests of stuff being in the public domain, it might be interesting to note that The Spires College (it's not an academy, Merse) is the only secondary-level school in the Bay that is still under local authority control. In case anyone feels moved to contact the council's representatives on the board of governors, they are Cllr Bye (Con, Wellswood) and Cllr Bent (Con, St Marychurch & Babbacombe).

I've just read the article and what a load of rubbish. The headline and the first paragraph is frankly unbelievable.....The Future of Torquay United have we found the answer? (Largely this has been all over this forum about 3 months ago); yours truly to blame for the demise of Torquay United (what a load of pompous guff). Tomorrow's headlines likely to be "United....promotion unlikely"

What a stupid way to start the article

Professional journalist ?

No
