£600 per weeks works out at over £30k a year, are Tiverton paying these sorts of wages, of course they're not. I know clubs like Buckland and around this level pay some, if not all their players quarterly, if anyone came on here and said Tiverton players were on £400-600 a quarter, wouldn't disbelieve that.

£600 divided up among all the players, perhaps

Most, as you've just proved, are only 10 - 20 years old & have no clue on how professional football works whilst gormlessly gawping through their rose coloured spectacles.
Enough about you and your love affair with Owers ;-)

Norman Smurthwaite owns port vale football club & also owns the Liberty Stadium based in Nuneaton warks (not the football club, which is an entirely different entity ). I would imagine there is some sort of rental agreement between the two .
As do Clarke Osborne (owner of Torquay United ) and Torbay Council owners of Plainmoor .
And finally tufc1, who are AFC Nuneaton ? They don't even exist, do they ? Or are you really just taking the piss ?. If so ? Bog off --- that's my mantle !

Gary Owers failed, I get that, but so have many others at our club good or bad.
I cannot remember ever posting 'Gary Owers is doing a great job' , obviously you think I did as you have ' with much relish ' jumped on the 'let's diss Teigngull' bandwagon.
Oh you kids really need to get puberty out of the way, & the sooner the better.
I maybe up my own arse.... but im nowhere near as far up as you are up yours pal.
but, I forget everything you say is correct.
well it isn't. you may - or in your case may not have noticed that I didn't actually quote you as saying that... its just the impression (like other posters) that I got.
as for talking about puberty, at least its been and gone for me as it appears you haven't even reached it yet.

I’m pretty sure that Norman Smurthwaite still owns port Vale (correct me if I’m wrong)

Now what I do know is that Stewart Donald has to sell off Eastleigh to take over Sunderland so surely this would be the exact same even if it’s obatining a non league club whilst owning a league club...

So in theory, how can Norman Smurthwaite asset strip a club he does not own?

How are Tiverton players on £600 a week?

Can TUFC1 have his own weekly post? He sounds quite funny 😂

Let’s not lose sight of the fact this thread has been built around TUFC1 posting tripe. Keen observers will note his ‘ground owned by the rugby club’ assertion blown out of the water in that article, also.

AFC Nuneaton did.
Hence why he has screwed them over like he would have done us!!!!
The penny will drop soon.
I know most on here are like 10-20 years behind in how football is run these days.
Hence where we are today...
Goodbye Nuneaton glad it wasn't us as you all wanted.

Here’s a recent article for any who are interested. Smurthwaite referred to, he isn’t the owner, and now three people have pointed out to TUFC1 that he isn’t.

Tufc1 wrote: 06 Oct 2018, 16:30 Yes but Nuneaton let him take control of the club.Nuneaton don't own their ground the rugby club does.
He went in there asset stripped them within 4 months and last week did a runner.
Taking all the money.
Volunteers are in control of match day takings and are currently being held in a bank account as no official account exists anymore.
He has screwed them.
Oh how the people who hate Clarke are so upset now.
We escaped this one feel lucky it wasn't us.

And when I played in the Doctor Martens league equalivent of 7th tier... 7 years ago I was on more than £400 a week and no I was not on a contract.
you seem to be missing the important point that he cant own two football clubs.......

forevertufc wrote: 06 Oct 2018, 16:22 Not going to humour Tufc1 with any further posts, you (Tufc1) are simply talking out the back of your arse really. For a start Norman Smurrhwaite does not and can not own the football club, he owns the ground only, read their supporters coop site more in depth.

Inflation must be rife, you were telling us last week Tivvy players were on £400 a week, now £600, suppose it will £800 next week.
That seems like a fair policy. Complete garbage being spouted. When your opening gambit is that we ought to share at Truro’s ground while our new one gets built, you know only complete tosh is likely to follow. Must be an agenda here for this planted tool, noting his reference to Clarke in his latest rant, where he gets ownership of Nuneaton’s ground wrong again even though it had been pointed out to him already.

Am guessing the same poster will have another username soon and we can hear again all about how TUFC needs a new ground and how lucky we are to have Uncle Clarke.
