He was - it took him a while to get going, but once he did, he was like a runaway train. One of the few positives in that season; I've tried to follow his career since.

Yes very deceptive, he was slower than he looked !

Fair enough , my memory is usually pretty good but must be a bit hazy on Bayo .Like you say deceptively quick for his size

He certainly was quite fast back then - I used to love it when he would sprint to chase down a full back playing the ball up the line. Must have been a frightening experience for them with Bayo running at you full pelt.

That Yeovil sending off was quite funny. He scored, walked into the family stand, pulled a chair down and sat in sit positing for about five seconds. Walked back onto the pitch and got a second yellow. It was a Tuesday night cup game with the Family Stand almost empty, so a very strange red card.

I always thought Akinfenwa was deceptively quick for his physique.

He couldn't move much then but has always had an amazing knack of putting the ball in the net
My memory of Adebayo was that he was very fast when he first arrived, he certainly ran the Yeovil defence ragged and he managed to get sent off for over celebrating in a 4 - 3 extra time win in the EFL Cup.

Congratulations

Hi all,

Just wanted to say congratulations to you on promotion. You might not be aware but there's still a LOT of goodwill for the Gulls among Wycombe fans. Not just because of the great memories of staying up at Plainmoor back in 2014 but because of the dignified and generous way your club and fans treated us on what must have been an awful day for you. I remember walking back to my car and being congratulated by a lot of Torquay fans; said a lot about the quality of people you are.

Also, we realise how easily it could have been us falling so far so fast if things had worked out differently. We're still not out of the trees either on or off the pitch right now.

Enjoy your success and long may it continue. Hopefully we'll face each other again in the not too distant future - in League 1 rather than the National league.
