The Swansea number 7 Ollie Cooper was outstanding and his pace really proved a problem, Trialist Matt Buse was unlucky enough to have to contain him and should have been booked for an outrageous foul in the first half. The ref seemed to have agreed not to issue cards even though that is not supposed to be possible, even in a friendly. In the second half he kicked him completely out of the game, shortly after being nutmegged, when normally he would have been sent off for 2 bookable fouls. The kid had to leave due to injury but strangely there was no stretcher available. Someone was sent to find one after a minute of waiting before the kid struggled up and was helped to walk off. Bizarre. Matt Buse was then substituted. The ref was really lenient as you would expect but apart from not awarding some penalties to us, we did make an obvious pass back to the keeper which he also ignored (the defender deliberately glanced the ball back off his thigh) which the Swansea no 9 claimed for but was ignored.
Our defence was frail against slick passing but the attack looked very sharp and dangerous.
