New Signings?

Heres a thought Rhead is a camel. Do we really want a centre forward who can't move. Get real.

Not for us, or for Johnson. We've not had any kind of a proper target man here since Johnson turned up, I think he prefers to have mobile all rounders.

Matt Rhead is now a free agent... thoughts?

I stand corrected on Niate. Good to see new signings though, especially as nearly every signing GJ has made since coming in seems to have been better than what we already have.

GJ said that Keating still plays an important role, however perhaps he will now become backup to the front pairing?

Think you will find Niate was out due to injury rather than being bombed out. The arrival of Cundy will give us a better indication of who will be first choice for centre half pairing. Keating I feel for - his work rate cannot be faulted - but the end product of being a natural goalscorer is just not there. Days numbered? Im not sure they are yet, but expect to see him play a back-up squad role this season.

I think if Little and CLE ran the middle of the park we wouldn't need a holding midfielder role - they are both fighters who put in a shift all over the park. We've got plenty of competition across the widths so feeling confident we will have plenty of supply for our strikers.

So I guess Keating's days are numbered and Kalala needs improve his game when he get's an opportunity again.
I feel for Niate being bombed out of the matchday squad completely but am happy to see some more competition there. I just wish we could find another holding midfielder to keep Hall on his toes and give him some competition.

Whitfield is definitely a player who could be playing higher. Appears he's had a bit of a falling out with Askey at Port Vale and is looking to rehabilitate his career so hopefully GJ can get the best out of him and keep him motivated. Can play as a winger or a no. 10 so a bit of versatility as well. Think Kalala coming on as a late sub could be quite a handy role for him.

Cundy seems like a good signing. Wonder if this means Lewis will return to Swansea?

Sucker for pain! As if the selection process for the middle wasn’t hard enough already!! He must be darn good (or perhaps are loanees won’t be staying for all that long?!)

Cundy sounds like a good signing with our defensive leaks.

Niate seems to have been dropped completely?!
