with Slough, Omar, Lapslie,Martin injured and ALREADY GJ saying some are walking wounded why are we risking it?

396 crowd at Poole. We had around 200 there i would guess.

Probably Halstead and Lapslie on two years with the others on one. Certainly a big unit look forward to seeing him and Lolos too doing well

Thought Ali Omar is just the kind of impsoing defender we need alongside Joe Lewis. Could develop in to the strong, commanding pair needed in the National league.

can be rather pointless looking for meaning in these games, but that bodes well for team togetherness, I think.

Poole highlights

A friend of mine refereed the game yesterday. I asked him who impressed him from Torquay. He said, 'I thought the no.19 Lolos was really classy and I thought Keelan O’Connell was very good too. I was just surprised it wasn’t more than 2-0. It was a nice game to referee though'. Didn't really notice O'Connell but good to know he is promising and Lolos could be a great find alongside Danny Wright.

My takeaway from a trip down the road to Poole.

Kit looks slightly better in real life but not that keen.

Poole ultras (about 20) were entertaining.

Just great to be able to rock up at a game on a Saturday afternoon.

Lapslie looks busy, Ali had a presence.

Trialist B (15) involved a lot. Lots of promising positions. Trialist A (someone called him Jack) not as prominent.

The ball boy man was the busiest person in the ground. Forever going to get the ball, quite often from our wayward shots.

Enjoyable afternoon out.
