Being I am not buying a ticket I haven't been through the experience, but how dificult is it for TUFC or the ticket company to put a couple of blocks aside, for the "Yellow Army". Get them all together and once they start singing everyone else will get caught in the atmosphere and sing along eventually. The only difference being the "Yellow Arm" will sing for 90 minutes where as most other fans will pick and choose when they join in.

With regards to "Day Trippers" I don't think loyalty is in question. What is being questioned is the club have been supporting the "Yellow Army" all season as it is a massive help on the pitch. The one day the team need to hear the support they come up with a scheme which will split the "Yellow Army" into seperate blocks and you will never get the noise because they will all be doing their own things. If you have different elements singing different chants then the "Day Trippers" will only get to feel the armosphere generated around them locally, rather than feeling the full force as they would have at Shrewsbury on Friday.

Before I forget, I'd like to say a big thankyou to Mr Alex Rowe, he's added his voice in support of what we were trying to achieve and he knows full well that there are fans out there who have good ideas of how we can improve and evolve as a club, it's just a shame that some members of the Board don't share his vision.

I can tell you one thing, if the Club hadn't acted the way they have then I wouldn't have gone.

I called the Trafford Arms on saturday to see if they would be our "Green Man" for the day but was told the Police decide where we drink. I saw that Stevenage had sorted a section for their singers yet we were being told it couldn't be done. Stevenage had a concession for those aged between 60 and 65 that we didn't.

If I make the effort to drive to Manchester to support my team, I want the freedom to drink where I choose, I want to pay to sit where I choose and I don't want to see fans of our club pay more than those from Stevenage. If you think that puts me on the same level as someone you label incompetent then we will fall out. Has it occurred to you that if some of us hadn't been so vocal in our criticisms these decisions wouldn't have been made? I think not. So when you talk of incompetent administration at the club perhaps you would do well to think long and hard about how changes are brought about. Strength of feelings from fans have been gauged and sensible decisions made, for that I thank the club, if those decisions weren't made then I for one would have stayed at home. I don't need you telling me I'm no better than some incompetent administrator, I've put in enough time effort and money supporting my club to make a decision like that based on my own feelings.

Point taken. The category of fan you were talking about was in evidence the last time I went to Wembley; i.e. the Ebbsfleet supporter!

I think miss-understand my use of the term "day trippers" it was not meant in anyway to critise them,the point was simple,those who dont not support Torquay,who are only going just see Torquay play at Old Trafford will not in any way do anything to help create a positive atmosphere in support of the team.

i don't really believe there is anyone out there actually considering not going because of the ticket issue. there's a lot of frustration, but 99% of us are well aware it comes with the territory of being a Gull !!!

hopefully the dust will settle a bit today, some more sensible decisions will be made and everyone can move forward and look forward to a great day on saturday.

i for one would not miss this for the world, and despite yesterday's chaos, neither would the rest of you.

good luck everyone with getting your hands on tickets, have a safe trip up, lets meet pre-match, and then paint the theatre of dreams YELLOW !!!!

I get a bit fed-up with references to to 'day-trippers'. I have watched Torquay for 40 years, none of the usual posters here know me, but I am still a loyal fan. There are plenty of others posts where the size of the fanbase is lamented, well this is one opportunity to market the team and build that base, rather than criticise the day-trippers.

Surely it's good that were all bunched together as if we chose where we sat...we wouldn't get an atmosphere!

If you don't go...I believe you will regret it
1. Seeing Torquay at OT
2. High chance of promotion to league 1!

Agree with F'rev. I can totally understand the frustration and general pissed-offedness with the way the tickets are being sold, however, can say hand on heart that if I could afford to go, I would go, even if it meant sitting in a block behond the corner flag alone. I'm sad that the club have seemingly f'ked up royally over the tickets as we should all be so excited about the game - remember the threads before Wembley? The venue is ridiculous, the handling over the allocation of tickets is apparently ridiculous, but come on. We've got to the final. We are one game away from promotion. There would appear to be a lot of problems within our Club at the moment, but let's worry about them after the weekend. Enjoy the build up, enjoy the day :scarf:

Well said Dave - I really hope none of the long-standing fans saying they won't go actually stick to their word.

It won't be the same without them, and there is very little they can do if people move en masse. Not as if we are going to fill any more than half of our part of the ground.

I understand that feelings are running high,and totaly agree with the sentiments of one and all,our club can and should have done better here with the ticket sales for Saturday,this is a massive chance that has presented itself for our club to gain promotion to league 1"and yes it might be only one season",its a chance that may not come along again for a long,long time,our players will be going to Old Trafford Saturday doing there very best to gain promotion"this ticket situation is not there fault"
