It's not illegal to offer things for sale. If you don't think it's a good deal, don't buy it. Nobody was forcing anyone to do anything.

Well, some of those Manc ***** tried to sell me a flag for £9. I laughed at him as I left wishing him good fortune when trying to sell them in future.

The day had rip off all over it from the FL to street vendors.

No way Andy, that's worth knowing for future... we ended up opposite the Cricket Ground for a fiver. Not bad and I guess it was secure (if you call a fat old man sat on his lunch box security?).

It probably isn't as easy when United are at home. At which point those 'manc twats' are probably offering a helpful service.

Got to the game and parked literally round the corner from the stadium on a street with plenty of free parking. I was quoted £10 for an all day spot by some knobhead running a car park on the same road!! What a prick!! Yeah ok mate , i'll pay you a tenner when to my right there is enough space to fit in the **** titanic!! No wonder we passed plenty of yellow jacket wearing car parking attendants on the way to the ground trying to usher us in to their amazing car park by waving their arms like they were having some sort of seizure!! They knew that a mile down the road you could park right next to the stadium for free! It was the easiest ground to park at ever and that includes macclesfield!!! Unbelievable!! Robbing bastards!! Get a proper job you manc twats!!

I have been relaibly informed from an Old Trafford regular that the cricket ground car park is the best bet and it only cost 3-4 pounds and near the police station as well.

Dammit! Beaten to it.

See Denspad's post above about parkatmygaff.com, top notch service, used it a couple of times for big sports events and it has been a proper job.

Matt.

Just wanted to add my own advice to fellow Gulls supporters thinking of driving to Old Trafford (Stretford)

I have used parkatmyhouse.com on a few occasions to park my car for an event at old trafford. It's a great scheme as long as you ensure you pick a reputable provider with a good number of reviews and feedback. On Sunday immediately after getting my ticket I booked my space where I parked before - 4 minutes walk to the ground and the space is reserved from 1.00pm to 10.30pm in case of extra-time and penalties, oh and you avoid the big queues getting out of the car parks too! - slightly more expensive at £11.00 but well worth it.

My top tip for the day.

There are loads of nearby places (such as schools) that offer their car parks on Match-days (whether that will be the same for our match, i'm not sure). Can park for a about £5, within a 15 minute walk of the ground. There will be people waving you in with 'Match Day Parking' signs. Probably best to ignore the first ones though, as they start quite a way from the ground.
