There's more chance of me winning the lottery on Saturday, the 50/50 draw at Plainmoor, and my son offering to buy me a pint!

:keepie:

As long as the powder-puff girls blouses of the PL are happy, then why should the rest of us plebs even be given a second thought.

So, in a nutshell, 700+ clubs have to bend over backwards and lose out on potentially lucrative replays so that the over-paid prima donnas of the PL can have a nice long summer holiday. Cheers FA. What a joke.

Didn't Exeter draw away with Man U and earn a reply to save their bacon?

Traditionally Cup replays have been seen as a chance for smaller clubs to earn substantial extra revenues. League Two side Newport County, who had a fourth-round replay at Wembley against Tottenham in 2017, saw their turnover increase by nearly £1m that season, enough to drag the club into profit. The new changes mean there will be no replays, with all games going to extra time and then penalties.

Interesting read and just goes to show how much power the premier league has over the rest of the UK game, it is total protectionism of the elite, for the sake of a 33 million bribe to the FA, or slightly less than three months wage bill for say man city they have bought the FA.
Longer summer breaks , only benefits the premier darlings on their yachts or earning millions playing friendlies all over the world, for the likes of us,no revenue during the summer and a later start to the season just when we desperate for the cash. No replays, again potentially less money for the likes of us, we get arsenal at home in the third round and manage to hold them at 90 minutes, off to the arsenal stadium for a mega payday, no longer, nothing like keeping the little people down an in their place.
