Bees have 5 eyes and their own special way of seeing colours.

I see that Brentford won away at Crystal Palace wearing their pink away kit.

As rightly pointed out the team haven't won in the white kit, but some important comparisons though, unlike the pink kit, the team haven't lost a league game in the white kit, unlike the pink kit, the team have scored a goal whilst playing in the white kit ;-)

As said all along I like the pink kit, the players clearly do not like it, so it's done for 👍

The score was 3-0 at half time and finished 3-1.

No kits are cursed or unlucky.

However anyone that thinks they can’t have some kind of effect on players is short sighted.

That Man U game was supposedly because the players couldn’t spot each other against the crowd. However there can be psychological effects in how people perform as well, if you play for Man Utd or any club they have their own traditional colours, red and white of course for them. It may sound silly, but whenever I watch football and see a team in colours I don’t associate with them, I lose a bit of interest, it just doesn’t look right. Now this might just be me I guess!

But I would bet there have been a tonne of studies on the effects colours have on people, I remember Mike Bateson having the Away dressing rooms painted in pastel colours, because the colours were believed be non aggressive and have a calming effect. The idea being visiting teams were rendered less ready for a competitive game!

Some colours have by association certain vibes, pink is one. Does it affect the players, only they know for sure. If we lose a number of games wearing the same kit it may have an effect, if only a minor one.

Do we train in a particular kit, if a kit is never used in training, then players just aren’t used to it. It shouldn’t affect things of course, but no one knows for certain.

Minor things may or may not have any effect, but you can’t discount them.

I do not believe in curses or cursed entitities but there is a perception backed up by hard fact that this third strip is unlucky, then there is the well known story of man u chasing their strip halfway through a game and this season dorking sacked their away strip at half time becuase they supposedly could not find each other to pass too and for me this is where the pinky outfit falls down, it blends into the background far too easily, in poor weather or fog that issue is multiplied, We are known for playing in yellow tops and blue shorts, if that causes the rare clash then play in blue shirts and yellow shorts.

I'm in too. Anyone who thinks the kit is cursed or bad luck needs to take up knitting instead of watching football 😂

In! I love 💗 the kit. I also have boys and their mates who have bought the kit even though they are at best casual TUFC fans.

It’s a good looking kit and maybe, just maybe we were losing games because we were away from home with a brand new squad. That might be more re likely than the ‘curse’.

Dave wrote: 18 Jan 2025, 11:20 Thought it time to re-visit this thread. The good old pink kit that the team lost every match in with out so much as scoring a single goal, hasn't seen the light of day since the ill fated trip to Bishops Cleeve.

A small few of us suggested there could be a problem with this kit, and oh the reaction, how the masses laughed at such a notion  The club yesterday announced the pink was possibly cursed, defiantly reduced to £8, so it appears there is a problem with this kit and the club is getting rid of it,

Who's laughing now
Probably would have won in it yesterday.....
