I think the club should think about issuing vouchers at the few games prior to the Plymouth game to stop the stands being full of Argyle supporters.

How refreshing does that look.

4 games = 20miles travelled.

It looks very refreshing and over that period of time I will be well refreshed with refreshment.
:) (D) :)

As long as the Argyle away game is not brought forward to an a.m. kick-off then there should be enough blood back in the alcohol to make me legal and fit to drive, :| otherwise it will be :Z

I don't remember a time when the festive fixtures have ever been that favourable for us. All that's needed to f'ck it up is a winter like the last one. :(

Another home start to the season, two away games to near rivals (So'ton and BR) in the week following, so all in all I'm happy with the fixtures.

Regarding the Rovers game, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see that one all ticket. We may not sell out, but I'd expect interest to be high, because it's only an hour and a half away, we always seem to have slightly increased numbers for our first away game, the Buckle factor, and also the fact it'll be like watching Torquay present vs Torquay past!!

Regarding the Argyle game, it is a damn shame that our request wasn't really accepted. I agree with what Jerry says, c4000 tickets for that one - that is going to be a scrap for them! Similar with Swindon and Oxford, I'd have thought. Maybe not as bad though.

I fail to see how when we play Argyle at home affects any club other than us and them. It surely can't have been that hard to slot it in after February? :|

Every time I've been to a TUFC v Argyle match at Plainmoor there have been loads of Argyle fans dotted around all the home stands, with a reduced away capacity (250ish seats for away fans normally?) the problem will only be exacerbated.

The Premier League managed to help Blackpool with when they were building their new stand, but I guess once again the little club gets shafted by the football authorities! :@

Actually I think you will find that if we needed them, Rovers could allocate 2,000 tickets as the South stand can be made an all away stand. It has happened when there was a large away following before. Southampton as one comes to mind

[quote="andygullagain"] I've never been to Rovers so i don't know the capacity of their away end. Could someone perhaps enlighten me and maybe give me a hint if they think it will be all ticket for away fans or not. [quote]

Their away end holds about 1,100 so I guess it's a very big possibility that it will be all ticket.

Gutted that we haven't got an away game near me until Bradford on 8th of October, although i will get to Shrewsbury and Northampton before that one. Hoping to get to the Macc home game on 3rd Sep as i'm on holiday in Dartmoor that week. I had expectations of getting to the Mem vs Brizzle Rovers as it will be a bit spicy but unsure if it will be all ticket. I've never been to Rovers so i don't know the capacity of their away end. Could someone perhaps enlighten me and maybe give me a hint if they think it will be all ticket for away fans or not. Cheers. Anyway continuing, Burton at home first game is pretty uninspiring but a perfect opportunity to get Ling and the boys off to a winning start. Accrington away 8 days before Christmas is like staring at the gates of hell, can you imagine how depressing that game will be beneath dark satanic lancashire skies on the run up to the festivities?!! I think i prefer Christmas!! ( Ba Humbug!). Looking forward to going Swindon and i always enjoy Macclesfield. It's been a bit of a nightmare for myself as well as other northern based gulls that we have had 2 southern teams come up from the conference and 2 northern teams replacing them, and also 4 southern teams coming down from league 1 but i'm sure we will try and get to as many games as poss to cheer on the mighty yellows!!

The Football League probably would allow the fixtures to be swapped but both games are scheduled to be played before the grandstand is due to be completed so no real advantage, and it would probably be better to be at Home Park with the larger capacity for the New Year Bank Holiday fixture.

They are very good fixtures, I'm pretty gutted I'm going to miss Crawley H (& D&G A) due to me going on holiday but can't complain! :)
