The footballrumours.co.uk website is ridiculous. Half the time it's people who can't spell putting up drivel like "messi will sign for man utd for lyk 50million euros & buy ronaldo for 1p lolzzz". Wouldn't pay any attention to it at all to be honest.

That's I think what West Brom did to Rochdale when they signed their young centre half Dawson. Very similar situation.
When said offer for Dawson was made, Rochdale told WBA that they would only be allowed to sign him if they loaned him back to them for the season, but as Warnock has a soft spot for us, I think he would be prepared to do that.

more chance of me going there. Not a chance in hell of any truth in that.

Hmmm, well, in terms of credibility, that site may be languishing in the relegation zone, but the rumour itself has some attributes which place it mid-table, maybe even lower playoffs.

It's Warnock, we have a vast history of dealings with him and he is known to be a friend of the club.
We have had JOastler here all year, he is bound to have been pumped for information upon his return to the mother ship and he is bound to have offered that Eunan is a nice guy, trains well, isn't likely to spend the night banged up etc.
Further with JOastler, QPR are bound to have sent people along to watch him live, to monitor his progress. Unless it's Stevie wonder, he'll have seen Eunan at the time.
QPR are a ruinously rich club, they can afford to take a punt on a few young guys, on the better than evens chance that one or more turns out to be an absolute diamond. Those that don't won't be completely worthless, and there'll always be some mug team willing to pay for cast offs.

Don't get me wrong, I don't for one second suggest that there ought to be given undue credence to this rumour, but it might not be quite so far fetched as some are suggesting.

Matt.

Looking at that website it is - and considering that is probably the least reliable source for anything - I would take this news with a pinch of salt at best and forget about it, until we hear anything from a more credible resource.

footballrumours.co.uk is about as reliable as wikipedia for football transfer rumours - Branston off to LA to live with Beckham anyone?

I think most of it would be in the clauses, it's what netted Shrewsbury loads of money from Hart.

If Jordan Henderson is worth £20m then I would say we should be able to get at least £500k for Eunan, if not more.

What QPR team have you been watching? They've been playing fast, on the floor, attacking football. Look at someone like Faurlin, not particularly fast but a very good passer of the ball and lays it off to players like Taarabt who go on their mazy dribbles.

From when i've seen them this season, they've played nice, on the deck passing football.

If he does leave, QPR are the ideal club for him. A style of football which suits him down to the ground, we'd get very good money for him and Warnock would be an ideal manager to bring him through. It would be his best chance of playing at least regular Championship football.

Agree with this post - I don't think any of us are really churlish enough to prefer players to see their abilities stay in the lower leagues. O'Kane is clearly a player with higher talents than League 2, and going to a club like QPR would be a good move for him.

If we could get a hefty fee that'd help too :)
