ATTENTION ON DECK.
I asked Andrew, by PM, to share with those of us who don't know a great deal about our new man on the inside, to tell us a little about himself. Below is his reply, unedited, save for chopping an irrelevant bit off the bottom.
I am 55, Torquay born and bred.Educated at Westhill Secondary Modern where I shared my schooling with Trojan and probably other users of this site. I moved around the country working mainly for local authorities as an HR Manager before coming back home to work for Teignbridge Council for the last 15 years. My 2 children ( now grown up) came to all the Torquay games with me,both home and away for many years. My partner Janet and I have tried to be involved with the Club and on previous occassions we have painted the Changing Rooms, swept up after matches and most recently, worked with St Marychurch School to produce the Mosaic on the wall at Plainmoor.
I took early retirement last year and set up my own Company but my real desire was to work at TUFC in a professional capacity which I have now achieved.
So, seems a thoroughly altruistic egg then and will certainly have my full support for the duration of his (hopefully lengthy) time at the club.
The one thing which does occur, is that if he and Trojan went to school together, Trojan either had a tough paper round, or was held back two dozen years.
Matt.
