It's all good Blue, perfectly decent post, just entirely contradictory from one sentence to the next, if you read it the way I did. Plus, it gave me a chance to use some pretty colours, which I always I enjoy.

We haven't really got a sufficiently large squad to not play a decent side, so you'll definitely not be watching a bunch of reserves if you do decide to come along.

Matt.

The figure was nearer £20,000. You should know from experience not to trust fans valuations of players. You all thought you'd get £150,000 - £200,000 for Zebs remember yet got about a 1/4 of what you expected.
You see this issue I have with this?

Matt.
Ha good point Matt. I won't repeat myself as this is your forum and irrelevant to the Howe point really. I was just giving my opinion on him and used Harrold as an example.

Out of interest will you have a full strength team out for the Weston game on the 25th of this month? I live fairly close so might pop along to watch it if you will.

A pleasant evening to watch a kick about. Tiverton used to have a decent side but are now terrible (and in all honesty we were not alot better).
Thought the first half team played Ok.

Saah was impressive (although he has nothing to do). Looks good on the ball. He is better on the ground than Ellis or Robbo but not as physically strong as either.
The keeper looked strong although had nothing to do all night. He is like a bigger version of Kevin Deardon and considerably uglier as well. if you stuck Craig Stanleys ears on him to go with possibly the biggest chin in football you would have one hell of a looker.
Was impressed with Oastler actually, and Atieno looked up for it and did well. He looked he was up for it, and was desperate to impress which he did. Compare that to Macklin who farted about like a big jesse. You would think that he might be up for trying to impress the new manager but no - Ling needs to stick a rocket up his jacksie.
All going well until the second half "team" came out. The only player who emerged with any credit was Spear. As for the rest of them - well to actually "lose" 1-0 To Tiverton who were awful - Ling must be having nightmares.
Believe me Mcphee has not improved - he was bloody awful. Stevens,Kee etc etc - all terrible.
Have we got eleven players out of this lot who can compete in League 2 - difficult I'd say.
I would put the following players into the team, not necesaarily in their proper positions.

Ugly Keeper.

Robbo-Ellis-Saah-Nico

Mansell-Oastler-O'Kane-Stevens

Howe-Kee

Subs - Nothing.

Kee and Stevens are only included because we don't have anything else. Far from being impressed by Leadbitter I don't think he is League 2 standard.
Our strength maybe the back four and goalkeeper. if Ling goes with Saah/Robbo at the back I would actually play Ellis somewhere else (god knows where ).
It is a painfully thin looking set up. O'KAne is really the only one bit of class that we have.

Don't shoot me down but pace certainly isn't something Howe possesses. He's definitely slower than Billy Kee having seen him live 5-10 times. Howes game isn't based on pace though, it's holding the ball up, winning flick ons and bringing faster people into the game. If he plays regularly I think he'll get about 7-12 goals, a similar figure to Harrold for us.

Hope you be right and they be wrong!!!

Add to this Lloyd 'useless' Macklin, Leadbitter and Atieno and we have some serious pace available to us next year.

GRRRRRR to you Smiffy! Kee will do just fine, it's the first PSF of the year and Tivvy defended in numbers. They didn't get anywhere close to getting the ball off him. He will get fitten and sharper as the pre-season goes on and he gets his eye in, he will get more and more deadly. He is clearly the best finisher at the club (evidenced by Burton, NTFC and the Tivvy game a year ago, among others) and will only get better as the year goes on. Have a littele faith. That ball he played across the box for Spear at the far post was mm perfect and Spear was a bit of a donkey for missing such a good chance.

These updates are from Brett. Whos keeping me updated.
Im good like that

Was very impressed with Leadbitter, Saah, Bobby tonight. Ok bobby made a mistake for the goal but was not drastic, a few more games and they wont happen.

I was happy with Mcphee, did nothing wrong and played well. Decent finish when his goal was ruled out for offside. I feel its harsh to say he had a bad game when he did nothing wrong.

Same with Kee, he wasnt that bad. Just because he didnt score doesnt mean the goals wont come in the season.

The striker on trial, forgot his name and spent all night calling him antonio with matt but i was impressed with him. Worth looking at in saturday and if he impresses again then worth getting him on board.

Considering the guys all had a hard fitness session this morning and played tonight i was impressed. Things are looking up and will be good to see how the fair against bristol city.

McPhee usless as ever & Kee never really looked like scoring. Saah & GK look solid enough.
