When Rene is facing the opposition goal his finishing is lethal as his recent goals prove.
It's when he's got his back to goal and too far away from the goal as the link man that his limitations become apparent. His lack of pace fails to get him back in the danger zone in quick enough time.
On another note, when players come in (like Lathrope and Ellis) and make the most of the opportunity presented to them and consistently perform out of their skins, then it won't be long until the bench has players like Robertson, Nicholson, Bodin, O'Kane and such like warming their arses.
Now how's that for strength in depth with the means to turn games.
