definately pay on the day for us and they're also now letting blades in to both sides as the number of people wanting to pay their respects to gary speed has forced this change of plans

the kop will only be open for the placing of large tribute banners and flags

i've not managed to persuade any mates to come with me tomorrow, blades fans, some going to match as usual, wednesday, wont set foot in bramall lane and they're at home anyway!! meeting a few people in sheffield tap before tho

pay on the turnstile is fine

just recd this email from blades

I can't see the crowd doubling although there may be a few extra thousand on the gate from those who wish to pay their respects to Gary Speed. I think Oxford took over 2000 in their first round tie and with us maybe taking 5-600 i reckon the crowd will be around 10000.According to the SUFC OS they have sold 4685 tickets as of close of business wednesday night.

Sheffield attendance?

Before the weekends tragic news of Gary Speeds death i would have thought the crowd would have been 6000-7000, with the game too close to xmas and Torquay of no interest to Sheffield. However, having reading their forums it looks like that crowd estimate could double! It seems a load of fans who were not going now want to go and pay theiir repects. Also they can pay on the day like us so dont have to go and get a ticket. They even want the Kop End opened but seems unlikely. Although that will make the two stands either side of us pretty full.

This will be of course good for us financially but to them its more about the day than a few more thousand in their bank account. I did think that with a small crowd and them thinking that they will roll us over like they did to Oxford we would have a good chance of a draw at least if we performed and they didnt but it will be a much noisier day now.

If Sheffield do win i hope that they get one of Speeds other former clubs, would be well fitting.
