Tampa Bay? I'd be amazed if he's getting anything worthwhile there, to be honest. Median MLS salary is about $80k (which probably works out to about £1000 a week), so in NASL he's probably on about half that. so...£500 a week or so. Not bad, but given that he's had to move abroad not exactly a fortune. My guess is that he feels he has more chance of doing well in coaching over there (money to be made in coaching kids, especially in year-round place like Tampa)

See i wouldnt mind giving Betsy a 6 month contract and see how he does. Hes good enough to play at this level and could offer something. With the way we play 4-3-3 adding one more winger in would do us well. Even if we do keep Bodin, i still feel we could do with one more winger.

With Ling and his London links, i reckon he would have spotted that he had been released and may well be intrested. From what i have heard, Mr Ling is looking to add to the squad in Jan with Bodin staying longer No.1 on the list. :-D

Back to Campbell, Ling is still after a player-coach after all the suggestions never happend in the summer. Now it could be the perfect role for someone like stuart. Get the coaching and give his experience, and play a few games as im sure he would be decent cover for any of the midfield 3.

Saying that there will be loads of players avalilable in jan, as clubs to look to offload for many different reasons. Wouldnt suprise me if 1 or 2 leave us.

I'd be more interested in Betsy than Campbell, simply because we have enough decent central midfielders that a club like us can realistically carry. I wouldn't be adverse to another wide player and BEtsy is proven in thsi league, think he might give us something similar to what Wayne Carlisle did.

Another interesting name I saw released today was Kevin Betsy at Wycombe. Knocking on a bit now at 33, but has always caused us major problems. If he's still got it, and we were unable to keep Bodin on for any reason, I wouldn't be too upset to see him come on board.

Campbell was apparently a target of Paul Tisdale's in the summer so I can see him ending up there.

I can see there being competition for his signature to be honest and it would not surprise me if he has not already sounded out some local clubs, Hereford?, Forest Green, even Bath City....but if not and if you are reading this Lingy! :-D get on that phone tonight!

I for one would be fully behind something like this. An experienced head like Bryan Hughes for Accy on Saturday can make a huge difference. Wouldn't play every game, but would be more than a useful squad addition

Stuart Campbell has been released by Paul Buckle, who had a public row with him earlier in the year.

Campbell is quite old now, mid 30's but would be a superb signing until the end of the season, especially if, as we all expect O'Kane is a target.
This news will not go down too well with many gasheads to be honest who had a great deal of time for Campbell
