Thanking you kindly :-D

Maybe Buckle was too busy congratulating himself after receiving the award to think about anything important for a while. You know, like winning and non-dodgy tactics.

Luckily for us, our Lingy is a much more humble fellow.

It's well known (as in, reported on Sky) that a number of clubs from L1 and the Championship have come in for him, but CTFC have so much money that they can turn down half million pound bids and keep the player happy on five grand a week. It's absolutely obscene.

Hopefully it's just a Buckle thing that you do crap after being awarded the MOTM award. TBH I think it is, the Cheltenham manager has won it at least once and look where they are.

this article quite interesting

i thought as much, nothing to worry about, please accept this award mr ling, and congratulations on what you have achieved so far at our lovely little club!

rotherham is a tough place to visit, and we seldom do well there, so if we do happen to lose, then remember, its not the motm award, its the fact that we have to travel a long way and play on a pudding of a pitch in that soulless stadium, against a team that are, again, failing to deliver, and will be desperate to get their play off push back on track

is it really a curse, or do people just remember when managers lose after having recd the award, i'd like to see some stats to back up this (hopeful) myth

will it be announced before the rotherham game?

Yes based solely on league form. Anyone else hoping someone comes and gets tubbs from them cheating gits.

Is it purely based on League performance? If not could Fatty Evans get it after his ugly team beat Hull in the Cup?

Sure to get it...
Perhaps this time it will jolt us out of the win ugly MO of late and back to the delicious total football we can manage!

Only 5 points off the top club - World Domination here we come! :engflag:

I suppose we'll find out now whether it was a Buckle thing or a Torquay thing as to why we never get it.
I think it should go to a combination of Southend, Cheltenham, Crawley, Shrewsbury and Swindon.

...that means Ling must be manager of the month

Bugger!

5 wins out of 5 - they have to give to him and we know what that means...
